She Left She Thrived She’s Worth Billions novel Chapter 477

"What on earth? So Stellaris isn't inviting Aria?"

"But what makes Melanie qualified to attend their elite seminar?"

"This Melanie woman... she's terrifyingly well-connected, isn't she?"

Aria's face drained of color, flushing red and then turning sickeningly pale.

"Mr. Shaw, you must be mistaken! Why would Stellaris invite Melanie? She knows absolutely nothing! The only reason our cold medicine project has stalled is because she's in charge of it!"

"Have you forgotten? It's me... I'm the one cultivating the Silver-Leaf Orchid Variant to solve the bottleneck! Not her!"

Aria clutched her chest, desperately trying to salvage her shattered pride.

Landon, however, only looked profoundly irritated.

"Ms. Aria, I strongly suggest you find some self-awareness. Stellaris PharmaTech does not invite just anyone to our internal seminars."

Publicly humiliated by Landon's brutal rejection, Aria's expression twisted into a grotesque mask of fury.

"Then what exactly makes her so worthy of an invitation? Tell me!"

Aria screamed hysterically. The entire venue fell dead silent, the crowd leaning in, desperate for the answer.

As she glared at Landon, Aria's eyes burned with viciousness.

But there was also a glimmer of smug victory.

With hundreds of eyes bearing down on him, Aria was absolutely positive Landon wouldn't be able to give a logical explanation.

He probably only invited Melanie because she held the empty title of COO at the Royce Group.

Skeptical whispers swelled across the room.

After all, in the pharmaceutical industry, Aria's reputation completely eclipsed Melanie's.

Everyone had heard the rumors: the eldest Royce daughter was a university dropout who couldn't handle pharmaceutical sciences, while the second daughter was a brilliant overseas scholar who fast-tracked her Ph.D.

To the gossip-hungry crowd, if Landon couldn't produce hard evidence to back his claim, he would lose all credibility.

Just as Aria and the crowd assumed Landon was cornered, he spoke with unwavering absolute certainty.

"Ms. Royce is the only person who accurately identified the root cause of the cold medicine bottleneck. That alone makes her more than qualified to attend our seminar."

"Their extraction technology is indeed top-tier, but it still has significant room for improvement."

"Room for improvement? By who? How?"

Facing Aria's bewildered sneer, Melanie merely smiled, offering no further explanation.

"Ms. Royce, we should get going. Please."

Landon gestured respectfully. Ignoring the dumbfounded shock in Aria's eyes, Melanie walked out of the venue, flanked by Preston and the Stellaris PharmaTech team.

The guests Aria had so carefully assembled immediately began whispering feverishly among themselves.

Dominic stepped up beside Aria, though his dark gaze remained locked on the exit.

Melanie was already long gone.

Aria let out a bitter, venomous sneer.

"Melanie, keep bluffing! There is no way in hell you can single-handedly improve an extraction technology that even Stellaris PharmaTech couldn't perfect!"
