She Walked Away With His Twins While He Begged the Ground She Walked On novel Chapter 111

"Miles, don't leave me behind."

Seeing her stubborn refusal to get out, Miles York's expression darkened. He opened the car door himself.

He seemed convinced she was deliberately dragging her feet to stop him from saving Jade.

His grip on her wrist was cold and merciless as he forcibly dragged her out of the vehicle.

"Drop the pathetic mind games, Quinn. Jade needs me right now," he snapped.

"I'm not, Miles, I'm just scared..."

Miles's gaze was as cold as ice, his voice stripped of any warmth.

"How many times do I have to say it? Jade is severely injured, and someone is trying to take advantage of her. I have to get there now."

Quinn glanced frantically at the desolate surroundings, a mist of panic filling her eyes.

She frantically grabbed his sleeve, her voice trembling in a helpless plea.

"Miles... take me with you. I can't stay here."

Evading her gaze, he shrugged off his suit jacket and draped it over her shoulders, his tone laced with impatient urgency.

"I'll have Hunter come pick you up. Just wait here."

"No, Miles, please take me with you!"

She tried to catch the hem of his shirt, her voice shaking violently, terrified of being abandoned in this place.

But her only response was his indifferent profile.

He shoved her away again, roughly yanking his sleeve from her grasp. His actions were resolute and forceful, leaving no room for sympathy.

He quickly got into the car. Just as she lunged to grab the handle, there was a soft click—the doors locked automatically, completely severing all her hopes.

The Bentley sped off. Quinn chased after it recklessly, her dress whipping in the night wind, her hair sticking to her tear-streaked face.

But why... why did you have to be so utterly heartless, leaving me stranded in this dangerous, unfamiliar wasteland to fend for myself?

Trembling, she wandered down the foreign street, consumed by terror.

The flickering streetlights cast eerie shadows over the filthy pavement. The only people around were shady vagrants and junkies huddled in the corners smoking.

Indecipherable muttering echoed periodically, causing Quinn to shrink back in horror. Her grief and grievance were quickly overtaken by raw, paralyzing fear.

The sudden screech of a stray cat and the skittering of rats foraging for food made her scramble toward the wall.

She wanted to find a place to hide, but before she could get far, a group of thugs loitering on the street spotted her and closed in with malicious intent.

An intense wave of panic and dread washed over her.

One of them whistled, spewing vulgar remarks.

Another raked a predatory gaze over her body, shouting obscenities that made her stomach churn.
