Miles didn't ask Jack to call her out. Instead, his face darkened as he spun around and marched straight toward the staff quarters.
At that exact moment, Quinn opened her door and stepped out, running right into him.
"Quinn, you've really outdone yourself!"
"Miles, what are you talking about?"
Miles grabbed her wrist and dragged her toward the living room.
Seeing their boss absolutely livid, Jack and Gail hovered nervously behind them, terrified he was going to hurt her.
"Boss, slow down. Quinn's... legs aren't as long as yours."
Quinn couldn't keep up with his long strides, but she was still hauled relentlessly into the living room.
She wrenched her hand free and rubbed her red, aching wrist. "Miles, what exactly is your problem?"
Miles stood with his hands on his hips, his tailored suit perfectly accentuating his imposing frame. He radiated a fierce, suffocating dominance.
"Tell me, why didn't you let Caleb go to the award ceremony today?"
"I told you last time. Caleb is the champion, and he earned that award!"
So it was about this. Quinn had almost forgotten about it.
A cold, mocking smirk tugged at the corner of her mouth, her voice chilling. "A shared championship? Caleb doesn't give a damn about a tainted trophy!"
The air around Miles turned freezing. "What did you say?"
"Miles, just give the award to your son. Caleb has no interest in playing a prop to make Leo look good."
Miles's brow furrowed tightly, his predatory gaze locking onto her. "What nonsense are you spewing? When has Caleb ever been a prop for Leo?"
