Quinn noticed his tone and words, her lips twitching slightly into an amused smile.
It was a tough task for Ethan. He wasn't their real father, yet he was playing the role perfectly in front of the kids.
"Daddy, Luna and I don't blame you."
The tips of Caleb's ears flushed a faint red. He wasn't quite used to speaking to a father figure this intimately.
"You're such a good boy, Caleb. Tell Daddy what you want to eat. I brought presents for you and Luna."
Luna tilted her beaming face up and reached out for him, her voice sweet and bright. "Mommy, I want Daddy to hold me!"
"Pick me up, Daddy!"
Quinn hadn't expected her daughter to be so affectionate on only her second meeting with Ethan, actively asking to be held.
And Caleb too. He usually maintained a polite distance from strangers.
Yet now, he had dropped his guard completely around Ethan.
She shot Ethan a grateful glance, and he returned it with a warm smile.
"Alright, Luna, Daddy's got you. Let's go get some dinner."
"Yay!"
Ethan held one child in his arms and the other by the hand, with Quinn following closely behind.
The server guiding them to the private room politely assumed they were a family of four.
They couldn't help but compliment them. "You two make such a stunning couple. You're both absolutely gorgeous."
"It's no wonder your kids are so beautiful with genetics like yours."
Another server chimed in, both their faces flashing with clear envy.
"They look better than movie stars! And those toddlers are too adorable. What a picture-perfect family!"
"I've never seen such an incredibly attractive family in my entire life."
Quinn desperately wanted to explain, but with the kids present, she could only endure the compliments with flushed cheeks.
Ethan settled onto the plush booth with Luna in his lap. "Luna, Caleb, let's see if you like the gifts Daddy got for you."
