Seeing how much she liked it brought a genuine smile to Ethan's face. "Do you love it, sweethearts?"
He had worried the kids might not be impressed. He had debated doing a full renovation to make it more kid-friendly, but he was afraid that might seem too calculated.
"Ah, look at this wall! It's a cartoon cat and a bunny!"
He had quickly hired someone to paint the mural last night and hadn't expected Luna to be this thrilled about it.
"Daddy, I love this house so much."
"I'm glad you like it. You can even sleep here tonight."
"Daddy set up a special kids' room just for you two."
Luna's big, dark eyes widened in absolute delight. "Daddy, you made us a kids' room?!"
Grabbing her brother's hand, she practically dragged him, bursting with impatience to see their new room.
...
Back at Regency Bay.
"Mom, Miles went upstairs a while ago. Why hasn't he come back down?"
Earlier, when Macy saw Julian, she immediately put on her best 'elegant socialite' act and refrained from making any nasty remarks about Quinn in his presence.
She even eavesdropped on his phone call with Chloe Preston. Noting his indifferent tone and short responses to Chloe, Macy finally felt secure enough to approach him.
However, once Quinn and her group left Regency Bay, the entire gathering revolved entirely around Jade and her son. Losing all interest, Julian had made an early exit.
Judith rubbed her temples. Judging by her son's expression earlier, he was clearly in a terrible mood.
"I'll go check on him."
Noticing Jade sitting off to the side looking dejected, Macy walked over to comfort her.
"Don't worry, Jade. My brother isn't actually mad at Leo."
Jade looked up, her eyes misty. "Macy, do you think Miles is starting to care about Quinn?"
