"Quinn Avery, are you still not satisfied?"
"Didn't Jade already apologize to you today? The whole thing was just a misunderstanding. Leo accidentally got coconut milk powder on him..."
Hearing this, Quinn turned around, her eyes turning icy. "You found out what actually happened?"
Miles replied casually, assuming Jade had already explained everything to her.
"Yes, the incident was Jade's fault. She forgot that she had coconut milk powder on her hands and then picked Leo up, accidentally getting it on him."
Quinn's gaze tightened, her fingers curling into fists at his words.
She had thought Leo got the powder on himself, but the real culprit behind it all was Jade?
And the man standing before her thought a casual 'accidentally got it on Leo' could just erase the trauma she and Yara had endured?
It had clearly been a premeditated setup, not an accident at all.
Fury instantly climbed her features. She glared coldly at the man in front of her.
"Miles, how exactly did you find out that Jade 'accidentally' got coconut milk powder on her hands before picking up Leo?"
"Last night... I came home and asked Leo. He said his mom forgot to wash the coconut milk powder off her hands before she picked him up."
"It really was just an accident on Jade's part. It was her fault, and I've already scolded her for it."
"As for Macy, she's young, naive, and acted on impulse. I'll make her apologize to you."
A suffocating wave of despair tightened Quinn's chest. His precious childhood sweetheart just had an "accident," and his biological sister was just "young, naive, and impulsive"?
Her gaze was as cold as the first frost of spring, piercing straight through him.
