So, how could she possibly ask Miles for help?
And how could she just sit back and let her brother call him for a bailout?
She clenched her fingers. "Gail, don't tell Miles. I'll handle this myself."
With that, she booked a ride-share and rushed straight to The Aurora Club.
...
The Aurora Club.
Inside the dimly lit VIP room, the crystal chandelier cast a dizzying glare, and the air was thick with the suffocating scent of cigar smoke.
AJ was pinned down by the shoulders by two of Bruiser's thugs, his face already beaten into a bruised, swollen mess.
Blood trickled from the corner of his mouth as his head hung low, his entire body trembling.
Sitting on the sofa opposite him was the heavily built Bruiser, rolling a cigar between his fingers with a menacing sneer.
"If you don't cough up two million dollars tonight, I'll snap one of his legs right here!"
AJ went weak with terror. "Bruiser, please, don't! My sister is coming to save me. Her... her husband is filthy rich! He's a York..."
The VIP room door swung open, and Quinn rushed inside.
"AJ..."
Seeing her brother's battered and bruised face, her doubts vanished, replaced by genuine panic.
Bruiser glanced up. Taking in her stunning features and gorgeous figure, a vile, predatory gleam immediately sparked in his eyes.
He stroked his chin and chuckled. "Well, well, AJ. You never mentioned you had such a gorgeous sister."
He tipped his chin, signaling a thug to hand him a glass. "Since you're here, have three drinks with me first."
Quinn coughed, choking on the heavy stench of smoke and alcohol. "How... how much does my brother owe you?"
The two thugs standing beside him cracked their knuckles, ready to teach AJ another lesson.
AJ shrank back and tugged at his sister's hand. "Quinn... how much did you bring?"
Bruiser leaned his heavy frame against the back of the sofa, took a drag of his cigar, and exhaled a thick cloud of smoke before slapping the signed IOU onto the coffee table with a sharp smack.
"Read it carefully, sweetheart. Black and white. He signed it willingly. Nobody forced him. Standard twenty-four percent annual interest, completely legal and binding. You owe the debt, you pay it. Calling the cops won't do a damn thing for you."
"Tell you what, I'll compromise. You drink three glasses, and I'll take a million and a half. If you still refuse, say goodbye to his leg!"
Terrified, AJ broke free from the thugs and threw himself at his sister's side, cowardly gripping her sleeve.
His voice cracked with desperation. "Quinn, please, save me. Just pay off the debt for me this time! I swear I'll never gamble again, I'll never borrow money again!"
"If you really can't do it, let me call my brother-in-law! He can definitely..."
"Shut up!"

Why only one episode uploading for the last 2 days?...
I would have accepted the jerk husband ending up with the heroine if he’s only powerful, intelligent but he’s so powerless and so stupid....
Can you make Ethan be the endgame? That Miles is a total jerk....
