Yara's anger had mostly subsided, already knowing those two wouldn't offer a sincere apology anyway.

Seeing the top-of-the-line laptops, she decided not to make a fuss over it.

Even though Miles was a complete jerk, his compensation certainly fit the image of a wealthy heir.

"Quinn, which color do you like?"

Quinn's expression remained indifferent. "You can have both. I bought a new laptop today."

Yara chuckled softly. "Let me guess, Ethan helped you pick it out?"

Miles, having just heard the name Ethan, froze in his tracks.

His jaw tightened. No wonder she claimed she didn't like his laptops at the office—some other man had already bought her one.

AJ let out a miserable shriek over the line. "Ah! Quinn, save me! I'm not lying to you this time! I was going to call Miles, but you warned me not to borrow money from him anymore. I have no other choice but to call you!"

Quinn's face paled with anger. "Don't you dare!"

Furious, Quinn quickly replied, "Wait there, I'm coming right now! Do not call Miles."

Gail overheard her frantic tone and hurried over. "Ma'am, whatever it is, wait for Mr. York to get back. He can definitely help your brother. Please don't go alone."
