Gail walked over, carrying two sleek boxes. "Ma'am, Ms. Chase, these are the new laptops Mr. York had Hunter drop off."
Yara's anger had mostly subsided, already knowing those two wouldn't offer a sincere apology anyway.
Seeing the top-of-the-line laptops, she decided not to make a fuss over it.
Even though Miles was a complete jerk, his compensation certainly fit the image of a wealthy heir.
"Quinn, which color do you like?"
Quinn's expression remained indifferent. "You can have both. I bought a new laptop today."
Yara chuckled softly. "Let me guess, Ethan helped you pick it out?"
Miles, having just heard the name Ethan, froze in his tracks.
His jaw tightened. No wonder she claimed she didn't like his laptops at the office—some other man had already bought her one.
Jade stared at the new laptops, her eyes darkening when she realized they were just as high-end as hers.
Wasn't she supposed to be the only one Miles cared about?
Why did a shameless woman like Quinn get to sit on the same pedestal as her?
Macy wanted to throw out a few mocking remarks, but fearing her brother's reprimand, she indignantly ordered the staff around instead.
"Gail, get me an iced tea! I need to cool down!"
"Right away, Miss."
Gail served tea to Quinn and Yara as well. "Thank you, Gail."
As Quinn leaned forward to take the cup, a USB drive slipped out of her pocket.
The sound of it hitting the floor was completely drowned out by Yara testing the audio on her new laptop.
No one else noticed, except for Jade.
Could that be the same flash drive Quinn had used to transfer data at the company earlier today?
She had been so protective of that data—was there something important saved on it?
