Using the laptop, Quinn downloaded the manuscript from her cloud drive and emailed it directly to Director Vance.

Vance replied almost immediately, full of praise. "Ms. Avery, I'll submit this today. I'll notify you as soon as there's any news."

Miles and Hunter had already left, and Quinn was preparing to check out of the hospital.

Zachary Wells walked in, wearing his white coat and glasses, exuding a calm, refined elegance.

"Quinn, how are you feeling now?"

Quinn was mildly surprised. "Dr. Wells? You work at this hospital?"

"I do."

Zachary smiled gently. "Miles brought you in last night. Do you remember?"

"I recognized him right before I passed out."

Zachary looked at her with the warmth of an older brother. "Never drink anything given to you by strangers again. It's not safe."

When he saw her slipping in and out of consciousness last night, he had angrily scolded Miles for failing to protect his own wife.

Miles's face had been as cold as glacial ice as he retorted that she had gone to the club on her own.

Quinn continued, "I don't feel any discomfort. Am I cleared to be discharged?"

Zachary snapped out of his memory and smiled warmly. "I'll have the nurse check your temperature and blood pressure. If your vitals are normal, you can head home."

"Alright. Thank you for the trouble."

Zachary chuckled. "No need to be so polite. You're the same age as my sister. Don't call me Dr. Wells anymore. You can call me Zack."

Quinn seamlessly adapted. "Thank you, Zack."

The name rolled off her tongue so naturally that it even caught Quinn off guard.
