She Walked Away With His Twins While He Begged the Ground She Walked On novel Chapter 319

Yara shielded her friend, speaking with righteous indignation. "Miles, Quinn has nothing to say to you. You have no right to order her around."

Miles's eyes were dark, filled with a threatening weight. "Yara Chase, this is between her and me. It's not your place as an outsider to interrupt."

"Quinn Avery, if you don't want this to turn ugly, step outside."

Remembering how his endless indulgence and protection of Jade had terrified Wayne West into silence, Quinn suppressed the burning anger in her chest and shook her head at Yara.

She stood up and followed him out. The moment they stepped into the corridor, Miles forcefully grabbed her arm and dragged her further away.

His suppressed fury seeped into his voice. "Quinn, what are you doing here? Are you trying to deliberately embarrass Jade?"

Quinn yanked her arm free, her eyes turning as cold as ice. "Miles, why can't I be here? If Jade didn't have anything to hide, why would she be afraid of me embarrassing her?"

Miles found her completely unreasonable, arrogant, and blinded by jealousy.

Showing up at the awards ceremony just to pick a fight with Jade? Didn't she realize what kind of event this was?

"You keep claiming Jade stole your data, but you don't have a shred of proof. You are an adult. You need to be responsible for your words and actions."

Quinn's tone dripped with sarcasm. "Is Jade really that guilty?"

Miles's brow furrowed heavily. "What do you mean?"

Quinn scoffed coldly. "Did she send you over to fish for information because she's terrified I have proof of her theft?"

Miles pinched the bridge of his nose, his face darkening. "You are truly impossible! Jade didn't say a word. What do you take me for? A pawn for someone else to use?"

Quinn's gaze rested on him in heavy silence, giving him his answer.

This only enraged Miles further. "Are you really that jealous of Jade? How many times do I have to tell you—there is nothing between us like you imagine. Stop targeting her at every turn."
