She Walked Away With His Twins While He Begged the Ground She Walked On novel Chapter 345

Jade took the opportunity to collapse into his arms.

With no one to catch her, Quinn lost her balance, her lower back slamming hard against the solid wood coffee table.

A loud crash echoed through the room as teacups and a fruit bowl toppled over. Tea splattered across the floor, and jagged porcelain shards mixed with rolling fruit in a chaotic, deafening mess.

Quinn gasped sharply as the sudden impact aggravated her existing leg injury, sending a piercing agony radiating through her bones.

Miles, still tightly clutching Jade, finally realized what had happened and looked down at Quinn.

She lay slumped against the edge of the coffee table, her posture defeated. Strands of hair clung to her face, and angry red scratch marks marred her wrists.

Instinctively, he reached out to help her up, but Jade suddenly clutched her chest with a pained whimper.

Tears quickly pooled in her eyes as she leaned weakly against his shoulder, her voice trembling with a fragile sob. "Miles, my chest hurts so much..."

His attention snapped back to Jade instantly, freezing his movement toward Quinn. Whatever urge he had to help his wife completely evaporated, entirely replaced by concern for the woman in his arms.

"Jade, I'll have Jack call Zack over to take a look at you."

Gail rushed over to the coffee table after hearing the commotion. "Mrs. York..."

She carefully supported Quinn, who hissed in pain as she tried to stand.

Quinn's leg was already injured, and now with her bruised lower back and aching knees, the sheer pain drained every ounce of color from her face.

Gail looked at her with deep worry. "Mrs. York, I noticed you were limping when you got home today. Did you hurt your leg?"
