After Hunter left, Quinn Avery smiled. "Yara, Hunter is just doing his job."

"If I didn't say that, what if he barged into Fairview Apartments again next time?" Yara Chase countered. "Caleb was at Ethan's place this time, so he didn't see him. But what if Caleb had been home and Hunter saw his face?"

Quinn gave her a thumbs-up. "You're right. You really know how to intimidate him."

"Mommy, that Weird Uncle asked Caleb and me a lot of questions at the hospital," Luna chimed in.

Quinn's heart skipped a beat, her worry spiking. "What questions?"

She was terrified Miles York might have discovered something. Hadn't that man left? Why had he returned to the hospital room?

"He asked why Stella didn't come with us and where she went," Luna explained. "He also asked what my name, Caleb's name, and Stella's name meant. And he asked if Caleb looked exactly like Stella."

Quinn's heart sank with every word. "How did you answer?" she asked anxiously.

Luna and Caleb took turns repeating everything that had happened, barely missing a single word.

Quinn and Yara exchanged a look, both breathing a heavy sigh of relief.

Leaving Stacy Jarvis to watch the kids, the two women stepped out onto the balcony.

"Yara, do you think Miles believed Caleb's answers?"

Yara patted her shoulder reassuringly. "Quinn, it should be fine. Miles was just curious. You have to trust our Caleb. His answers definitely wouldn't arouse any suspicion."
