She Walked Away With His Twins While He Begged the Ground She Walked On novel Chapter 468

She couldn't recall anything. She hadn't realized she had sensitive skin.

Lacking any real experience with the physical marks of intimacy... she genuinely assumed she had been bitten by a bug during the night, and her skin had reacted with red welts.

"It's just bug bites."

Upon hearing those words, a flash of panic crossed Miles's eyes.

Jade's gaze faltered. If Miles had actually left those marks, Quinn would have immediately flaunted them in her face.

She looked closer and rationalized that Quinn's skin was simply far too fair and delicate, easily flaring up into a rash after being scratched from a mosquito bite.

Convinced she was just overthinking it—and fiercely jealous of how luminous and pristine Quinn's skin was—she shot her a vicious glare.

"You probably opened the window yourself yesterday and let the bugs in."

Miles quickly realized he needed to shut this conversation down before someone figured out those marks were from his mouth.

He mentally cursed himself for losing control last night and leaving marks on such an infuriating woman.

Sitting up from the sofa, he let out a low cough.

"Jade, why are you up so early?"

Seeing him awake, Jade's eyes instantly filled with a pitiful, wounded light. Her voice dropped to a soft, fragile whisper. "Miles, I... I couldn't sleep last night."

Remembering she had an interpreting job with Eleanor and couldn't afford to waste time, Quinn yanked the door open and hurried downstairs.

By the time she finished washing up, applying her makeup, and coming back out, Miles was already fully dressed and sitting at the dining table, having breakfast with Jade.

Quinn didn't spare them a glance. She grabbed a sandwich, headed into the kitchen, took a few bites, and downed half a glass of milk.

Gail noticed the Mrs. York's outfit. It was chic and professional—sharp, elegant, calm, yet undeniably feminine, exuding a breathtaking kind of charm.

Smiling warmly, Gail said, "Mrs. York, this outfit looks incredible on you. You look like a true executive powerhouse."
