She Walked Away With His Twins While He Begged the Ground She Walked On novel Chapter 471

She gave him a small wave, signaling that she'd treat him to lunch as soon as she was done.

Ethan smiled softly and nodded back.

He pulled out his phone and sent her a text: [I'll wait for you.]

Quinn: [Okay.]

When the presentation concluded, the clients praised Quinn's exceptional interpreting skills. They remarked that she truly lived up to her reputation as a national translation award winner and said it was an honor to work with her.

Director Julian Vane from Fairmont Global News Network happened to be there as well. Having witnessed her professional interpreting, crisp enunciation, and fluid pacing, he nodded in deep appreciation.

He wanted to invite her to join the international channel as an external bilingual anchor.

Quinn was thrilled by the offer, but the moment she thought about the heavy public exposure, she realized it would be impossible to keep her two precious kids hidden from the media.

Because of that, she declined. The production director told her to go home and think it over, saying he'd wait for her good news.

Once she was finally free, Quinn texted Ethan, ready to take him out for lunch.

Ethan replied that he was heading downstairs and would see her in a minute.

Quinn was waiting for him when a tall, striking figure stepped into her line of sight.

Assuming it was Ethan, she smiled brightly. "You're here..."

She looked up, only to find the icy face of Miles York. The smile vanished from her face instantly.

"What are you doing here?"

Miles frowned. "If not me, who were you expecting?"

"Why are you here?"

The man bristled at her tone, his voice dropping. "Do I need to report my whereabouts to you?"

Hunter ended a call and hurried over. "Boss, the clients pushed the meeting back and want to treat you to lunch to apologize for the delay."

Only then did Quinn realize he was here for work too.

Seeing Quinn, Miles decided to blow off the clients' invitation.

"Quinn, come have lunch with me."

Quinn flatly refused. "No thanks. I have plans."

"With who?"
