Quinn had no idea that Miles was doing this on purpose, nor did she realize that Ethan would be upset hearing it.

Luna let out a tiny yawn. Hugging her big cat plushie, she slumped to the side and slowly drifted off to sleep.

Caleb leaned back against the pillows, ready for bed as well. Miles placed the freshly folded paper bunnies on the nightstand.

Quinn assumed he would take the hint and leave after putting them down, but the man showed absolutely zero intention of moving.

She furrowed her brow. "Miles, the kids need to sleep."

The man merely hummed in response, not making a single move toward the door.

Quinn tucked the blankets around the twins and grabbed a light quilt for herself, preparing to turn in.

Seeing that he still wasn't budging, she fixed her gaze on him.

Her voice edged with irritation. "Why are you still here?"

"Quinn, this bed is huge. It perfectly fits four people. Tonight... I want to sleep here."

"Have you lost your mind?"

"Quinn..."

"Get out. Don't disturb the kids while they're trying to sleep."

Quinn cut him off without hesitation. There was no way in hell she was sharing a bed with him, especially since she needed to take Caleb's mask off soon.

Miles's face darkened. "I'll leave, but on one condition. After Grandma's birthday banquet, you have to bring the kids back to Regency Bay for a few more days."

"If you say no, I'm not leaving this room tonight."

Quinn's hands balled into tight fists. Every fiber of her being wanted to refuse.

But seeing him stubbornly anchoring himself there, and knowing Caleb couldn't sleep comfortably in his mask, she took a deep breath and feigned a compromise.

"Fine."

Upon hearing this, Miles's expression immediately relaxed.

He cast one last look at the sleeping children before finally turning around and walking out.
