Noticing that she didn't argue back, Miles spoke coldly.
"I don't want to bring up the past. I'm even willing to temporarily overlook your brother using my name, but you must move back to Regency Bay."
Quinn sneered inwardly. Was she supposed to drop to her knees and thank him for his grand mercy with that condescending tone?
She took a deep breath, violently suppressing the fury roaring inside her.
"I agreed to finalize the divorce in three months, but I never agreed to keep living at Regency Bay."
Quinn hadn't formally moved her things out yet; she planned to clear out her belongings at Regency Bay after she returned from her trip abroad.
Miles's patience completely evaporated, and he pinched the bridge of his nose. "I'll tolerate your absence tonight, but if you aren't back by tomorrow evening, you know the consequences!"
"Miles, are you threatening me?"
Miles scoffed coldly. "Quinn, I'm reminding you. As long as your name is still tied to mine on a legal document, you will respect the York family's reputation."
Without waiting for Quinn to reply, he abruptly cut the call.
Quinn's chest heaved with rage. When he was out rubbing elbows and playing house with his childhood sweetheart, why didn't anyone mention the York family's reputation?
Unable to swallow her anger, she took the photo Macy had just sent her and hurled it straight into Miles's chat.
She added a caption: [What stellar family values you Yorks have! You're openly parading your affair and playing happy family with your little sweetheart before the ink is even on the divorce papers.]
[Do you want me to haul a king-sized bed over there so everyone can watch you two finally consummate things right on the spot?]
When Miles saw the message pop up, his flawlessly handsome face instantly turned as black as pitch.
The veins on his forehead throbbed violently, a raging inferno of hellfire dancing in his eyes.
This woman was becoming increasingly vulgar and utterly classless!
To spew such repulsive filth without an ounce of dignity or restraint.
Miles's jaw locked so tightly his teeth ground together, and he aggressively loosened his collar.
But then again, what did he expect? She was born and raised in the gutter, utterly devoid of proper upbringing or etiquette. How could she ever possess a fraction of Jade's grace and elegance?
Ever since they negotiated the divorce, she had been acting completely out of line.
