She Was the Treasure All Along novel Chapter 651

Bloomberry's entire team was floored by Loyce's business acumen.

"She was born for this," Jean Morgan marveled. "I've never seen anyone flip such an extreme crisis into an absolute masterclass in marketing."

"And doing it in such a bizarrely brilliant way," another colleague chimed in. "Bloomberry has completely blown up overseas. The factories are going to be drowning in orders again."

"What better advertising is there than having a hero wear your clothes?" Giselle murmured. "They're definitely going to win this lawsuit."

Because the wealthy heirs had suffered varying degrees of injuries, none of them showed up in court. The last person to arrive was Sagan.

The moment he stepped out of his car, even behind the police tape, the intense backlash and endless barrage of questions from the crowd hit him like a physical blow.

"Did Loyce really hurt your child?"

"Are you lying?!"

"Testifying for those murderers—your kid will be ashamed of you for the rest of her life!"

Every harsh word pierced Sagan's heart. Pale-lipped and looking downright awful, he was escorted into the courthouse by bailiffs.

...

Inside the solemn courtroom, the tension was thick enough to cut with a knife.

The judge sat high on the bench, the jury looked laser-focused, and every eye in the gallery was locked on the impending showdown.

When it was time for the defense, the opposing lawyers visibly tensed as Larry stood up.

He moved with measured grace, a faint, all-knowing smile on his face.

"Your Honor, members of the jury," his voice wasn't loud, but it echoed clearly in every corner of the room. "My clients, Ms. Lonsdale and Mr. Lonsdale, are not standing here today as lawbreakers. They are here because they chose to step into the blind spots of justice and the shadows of privilege to act as guardians of conscience and human life."

He launched into his defense, his words sharp and highly strategic. He didn't outright deny the trespassing; instead, he masterfully reframed the motive and the nature of the event.

"Yes, my clients did enter that heavily guarded estate without authorization. But allow me to remind you why they went there. Sagan's daughter, Ayla, heartbroken over sending her adopted lion, Saba, to a reserve, hid in the transport vehicle. She ended up trapped in what was supposedly an 'animal sanctuary' but was, in reality, a restricted zone for bloody trophy hunting!"

"When his child went missing, Sagan was frantic. My client, acting as his employer, went above and beyond—giving him time off and personally accompanying him to seek help. But they were met with flat-out refusal and obstruction from the reserve's management! With no one to turn to and a child's life on the line, my clients chose an unconventional path. They broke in. Not to trespass, but to conduct a rescue mission for an innocent little girl whose life was in imminent danger!"
