She Was the Treasure All Along novel Chapter 903

Mr. Sutton had understood instantly.

This child was Hank Lonsdale's secret daughter, and the sole reason the billionaire had bought the kindergarten.

Now, standing in the office doorway, looking at Miranda's arrogant posture and then at Gigi's red, tear-filled eyes, a layer of cold sweat broke out on the principal's back.

"What exactly happened?" Mr. Sutton walked in, trying to keep his voice steady.

Miranda turned to him, her hostility instantly shifting into polite charm. She knew that anyone running a high-end preschool in a prime district of Metropia had to have solid connections. She wasn't about to offend the principal over some nobody.

"Mr. Sutton, you're here just in time," she said warmly, stepping toward him. "You need to sort this out. My son was shoved by this Gigi girl, and his wrist is bruised. Not only does this mother refuse to apologize, but she's actually demanding that my son apologize! She claims he insulted her daughter. Can you believe the nerve?"

Mr. Sutton had already gotten the gist of the story from Ms. Windsor on his way over. He knew exactly what kind of spoiled, foul-mouthed tyrant Lanny was.

Ignoring Miranda completely, Mr. Sutton walked straight over to Gigi and crouched down. He pulled a neatly folded handkerchief from his pocket and gently dabbed the tears from her eyes.

"Gigi, I know you've been wronged," he murmured softly, as if afraid to startle her. "Did it scare you?"

Gigi stared at him with wide eyes and gave a timid little nod.

Miranda stared in disbelief. "Mr. Sutton? Why aren't you comforting my child?! He's the victim here!"

The principal's hand paused. He straightened up and turned to face Miranda, his eyes turning to ice. "Ms. Nash, I am already aware of the terrible things your son said in that classroom."

"Well, if you know, that makes things easier. My Lanny was pushed down, his wrist is completely red. Look!" She shoved her son's sleeve up, revealing a patch of skin that was barely pink. "How are you going to handle this?"

Mr. Sutton didn't even glance at the boy's wrist. "Ms. Nash, I've run schools for thirty-three years, and I have never seen a three-year-old with such a vicious mouth. Exactly what kind of manners are you teaching him at home?"

Miranda's smile froze.

"The resolution today is very simple," Mr. Sutton said sternly. "Lanny must apologize to Gigi. And you, as his mother, must apologize to Ms. Turner."

Miranda was stunned. "What did you just say? You want me to apologize to her?!"
