Substitute Wife, Genius CEO novel Chapter 101

Inside the CEO's office at the Sinclair Group.

An assistant knocked on the door, set down a stack of documents, and asked respectfully, "Mr. Sinclair, should we continue boosting that video on the trending lists?"

Silas Sinclair lowered his gaze, flipping through a file. "What's the view count at right now?"

The assistant checked the real-time analytics. "It's passed a hundred million."

Silas nodded. "Then stop."

After the assistant left, Silas paused his reading. He reached for his phone, forwarded the video link to Summer Vance, and typed out a quick message.

Silas: [You can choose to call the cops.]

At that moment, Summer was on the phone with her adoptive mother, Maeve Vance.

"Mom, I'm really fine," Summer coaxed, her tone light and breezy. "You and Dad don't need to make a special trip to Empire City just to see me."

But Maeve was beside herself with worry. Ever since she brought Summer home, she had never laid a harsh finger on her, raising her like an absolute treasure.

And now, her son-in-law was bullying her daughter, teaming up with some tramp.

Maeve had watched the viral video. Her daughter had been so pale from the pain, yet that scumbag Xavier Sterling had acted completely blind to it.

Then there was that vicious woman who actually dared to step on her daughter's beautiful fingers.

The more Maeve thought about it, the angrier she got. "Turn on your camera and let me see you. If you're really fine, I won't come to the city."

Summer still had bruises on her face. There was no way she could turn on the camera.

If she did, her lie would be exposed, and Maeve would end up crying in distress.

Initially, Summer had considered paying to push it onto the trending lists, but seeing the organic view count skyrocket, she decided to save her money.

The views were now nearing 130 million.

It wasn't surprising that Silas had seen it.

But Summer hadn't expected the insanely busy CEO to be so proactive and helpful.

Or perhaps it was just because he was Xavier's ultimate nemesis.

Summer replied: [Thanks, Mr. Sinclair. I've already called the police.]

Silas was in the middle of a meeting. Seeing her response, he picked up his phone and typed back: [Got a lawyer? If not, I can recommend one.]

After sending the text, Silas looked up at the executive who had paused his presentation. "Keep going. Don't stop."
