Substitute Wife, Genius CEO novel Chapter 103

Arthur's voice turned harsh. "Summer!"

"Mr. Sterling, is there anything else?"

Arthur hung up the phone abruptly. He turned and relayed Summer's exact words to Carlson.

Before Carlson could speak, Zelda Sterling flared up. "Married for seven years and she can't even keep her own man's attention. She's a useless failure. And now she has the nerve to demand a divorce! Who does she think she is?"

"And that Lily is a curse on our family," Zelda continued. "She's only been back a few days, and the company is already drowning in scandals. Dad, we absolutely cannot let that tramp marry into the family."

Arthur looked at his father. "Dad?"

Carlson remained remarkably composed. "Go to the company first. Fix the business crisis, then we'll deal with the rest."

As for Xavier, the Sterling Group's elite legal team was incredibly efficient. Xavier and his accomplices were quickly bailed out.

The moment he was free, Xavier headed straight for Summer's hospital room.

Xavier had thought about it long and hard. The Sterling Group's cybersecurity might not have been the absolute best in the world, but it wasn't something just any random hacker could breach.

Several top-tier hackers had boasted about taking down their servers in the past, and every single one had failed. Not only that, the company's tech team had counter-hacked them right back.

Since then, the Sterling Group's international reputation had skyrocketed, making it a dream destination for tech geniuses.

Yet this time, their defenses had been effortlessly shattered without even triggering an alarm.

After turning it over in his mind, he realized only Summer—the former Technical Director of their R&D department—could waltz in and out so flawlessly.

"Summer, I've told you. You don't get to call the shots on the divorce." He slowly lifted his gaze, staring at her with a deadpan expression.

"I'll ask you one last time. Do you want me to handle this personally, or are you going to take responsibility for the consequences yourself? You know how I operate, so think carefully."

Summer met his stare. After a long moment, she smiled. "Xavier, you make me sick."

Xavier nodded, tossed the divorce papers aside, and walked out.

Summer trusted her tech skills; she hadn't left a single digital footprint. Without proof, Xavier couldn't do anything to her.

But she had vastly underestimated the depths of his shamelessness.
