Switching seamlessly to Spanish, Summer asked, "And who might you be?"

Xavier was slightly taken aback by the sudden language switch, a flicker of surprise crossing his eyes, but he quickly responded with a charming smile in Spanish. "I am Xavier Sterling, CEO of Sterling Group. After years of collaboration, it's an honor to finally meet face-to-face."

Summer switched to French, her voice remaining bone-chillingly cold. "It's you."

"Ms. Pax, would you be open to exchanging contact information?" Very few people could make Xavier Sterling ask for a number.

This time, Summer switched to German. "That won't be possible."

"Also, I am not the one you should be thanking."

Without waiting for a response, she turned on her heel and walked away.

Lily frowned, glaring at Summer's retreating back. Her feminine intuition screamed that this Pax despised her with a burning, unexplainable hostility.
