She smiled and walked up to Summer, pulling her into a hug. "Summer, I'm back."

Summer hugged her back. "Xenia, welcome home."

The three of them sat down. Tessa, pulling a long face, demanded, "Spit it out. Why haven't you contacted us all these years?"

Xenia smiled and poured her a glass of water. "It wasn't that I didn't want to. I couldn't. I spent those years in prison."

"What?!" Tessa and Summer were utterly shocked.

Xenia continued to smile, comforting her two friends. "It's fine. I made it back in one piece, didn't I?"

Tessa asked seriously, "Xenia! What exactly happened? Tell me everything!"

Summer also looked at her with a solemn expression.

Xenia sighed helplessly, keeping her tone light. "I trusted the wrong person and dated a total bastard. His sister stole something of mine and claimed it as her own. He didn't believe me. When I finally produced the evidence, he still protected his sister and destroyed my proof. Later on, his sister staged an incident, framing me for hurting her, and he had me sent to prison."

Xenia spoke about it casually, but just hearing it made their hearts ache.

Summer reached out and hugged her.
