"Ah!" Lily gasped, stumbling backward and collapsing onto the floor.

Miles instantly sobered up in horror. "Lily!"

Sitting on the floor, Lily clutched her stomach, tears streaming beautifully down her face. "Miles, you saw that! Xenia is trying to kill me! She hates me! Stop obsessing over her."

The assistant quickly helped Lily up. Miles turned around in agony, glaring at Vivian as he snapped, "Xenia Young, apologize!"

Vivian's expression turned even colder. "I told you, I'm not Xenia. I'm Vivian!"

"I said apologize!" Miles pushed through his pounding headache and lunged to grab Vivian.

Miles's bloodshot eyes were filled with painful pleading. His lashes were wet, his voice trembling. "Xenia, I'm begging you. Just yield this once. Apologize to Lily, and we can make up. We'll put the past behind us, okay?"

His agonized look and pathetic, pleading tone made it seem as though he loved Xenia deeply.

Yet this was the exact same man who had personally destroyed all of Xenia's evidence.

The very man who had sent her to prison with his own hands.

Summer was absolutely nauseated by this twisted affection. She sneered mockingly, "Mr. Sutton, cut the devoted act. If you love Lily so much, why don't you just spend the rest of your life with her instead?"

"Pax!" Lily shrieked. "He's my brother!"

Miles shot a predatory, lethal glare at Summer. "Pax, watch your filthy mouth, or I'll wash it out for you."

Vivian gently pushed Summer aside and stepped forward. "Mr. Sutton, was it? If you have a problem, take it up with me. Don't drag innocent people into this."

Summer pulled Vivian back and stepped up again. "How exactly do you plan on washing my mouth, Mr. Sutton?"
