Bennett's patience finally snapped. He scolded her with a dark expression, "If you think it's so unfair, then switch with Summer! Give her Zenith Tech to manage, and you can go run Starlight Media and Vitality Healthcare!"
Lilith had already looked into Bennett's assets. Zenith Tech was by far the most profitable and the largest in scale.
Trade Zenith Tech for the others? No way in hell!
Lilith let out an indignant huff but stopped her complaining.
The matter was settled.
Physically and mentally exhausted, Bennett signaled Scarlett to wheel him out of the room.
Only Lilith and Summer remained.
Lilith shot Summer a venomous glare. She never expected Summer to openly demand a company as well.
And she certainly hadn't expected Summer to copy her tactic of directly threatening Bennett.
Bitch!
Lilith cursed viciously in her mind before storming out of the room.
Summer dropped her smile and called her assistant, ordering a full background investigation on Zenith Tech, Starlight Media, and Vitality Healthcare.
When Summer returned to the office, her assistant placed the investigative files on her desk and added, "Director Vance, the organizers of the industry summit in Highland Park sent you an invitation. Will you be attending?"
Summer checked the electronic invitation on her phone. The dates perfectly aligned with when she needed to take Leo to Highland Park for his treatments with Dominic.
Dominic traveled frequently and didn't have a fixed office, so to treat Leo’s hearing, they had to accommodate Dominic’s schedule.
"I'll go."
"Understood," the assistant nodded, noting it in her planner. "I'll clear your schedule for those days."
Highland Park.
Following the address Dominic provided, Summer arrived at the military hospital in Highland Park.
Leo handed his freshly baked cookies to Dominic. "Dr. Knight, I made these myself. I hope you like them."
Dominic washed his hands and picked one up. The animal-shaped cookies were incredibly cute, perfectly crispy, fragrant, and sweet without being overwhelming.
Even a grown man like him found them delicious.
Dominic smiled in thanks. "Thank you, Leo. They're wonderful. Since they're so good, can I share some with my assistant?"
Leo nodded happily. "Of course! I gave them to you, so they're yours. You can share them with anyone you want."
After the cookies were shared, Dominic carefully examined Leo.
As he worked, he nodded approvingly. "His recovery is going well. Keep it up, and one day he will fully recover."
