Swapping a Broken Heart for a New Start novel Chapter 1191

Camila shook her head right away. “I honestly don’t remember anything from back then, but I’m pretty sure there was nothing. You all know how obsessed I was with work. I was probably just running around chasing my career.”

She tugged on Dennis’s collar, giving him a look that was half teasing and half accusing. “Mr. Williams, we’re not about to get jealous over ancient history, are we? You can’t just mess with me because my memory’s a little fuzzy.”

Dennis leaned in with a mischievous grin. “And what if I do mess with you?”

“If you do, I’ll bite you,” Camila shot back, and then she actually leaned in and gave his neck a playful nip.

She thought she was getting her own back, but Dennis clearly saw it as a challenge. His eyes darkened, and he grabbed her wrists, pinning them above her head. His voice was a low rumble right by her ear. “Camila, you started this. And I’m not the type to just let things slide…”

Before she could even think of a retort, his lips were on hers. Every time she tried to push him away, he’d just bite her back a little harder, making her gasp in protest. After a few times, Camila finally gave in, realizing what he meant about holding a grudge. Soon, her skin was dotted with all the evidence of his revenge.

She tried to squirm away, but he just held her tighter, not letting her escape. Her fair skin quickly blossomed with red marks, leaving her feeling exposed and embarrassed.

“Dennis Williams!” Camila muttered through clenched teeth, her face burning as she tried to get him to stop.

But there was no way she could overpower him. He just replied in that raspy, unbothered tone, “I’m right here.”

He knew exactly what she meant, but he kept doing whatever he wanted. At first, Camila managed to complain, but pretty soon she was left teary-eyed, looking at him with a desperate plea for mercy.
