Isabelle had only interacted with Blaze a few times. He’d always struck her as direct, even blunt, in his approach…
Sienna frowned, her face still flushed as she buried it in her hands. “I’m terrified of marrying, him. He’s so tall, and I look like a child next to him.”
Sienna stood around five–foot–two, while Blaze was easily over six feet.
Her voice wavered. “What if he comes to my room in the middle of the night?”
Isabelle couldn’t help a soft laugh. “I really don’t think he’s that kind of man…”
Sienna wasn’t convinced. She was already planning to barricade the door with a chair that night, or maybe just call a cab and leave immediately.
But out here in the rural darkness, hailing a ride wasn’t a smart plan. Her only hope was that some urgent business would occupy Blaze and make him leave.
Before she could finish mentally plotting her escape, however, she had already succumbed to exhaustion and fallen into a deep sleep.
Isabelle looked at her for a moment, adjusted the covers, and quietly stepped out.
As she exited the room, she found Maddox sitting on a bench in the hallway.
“Is she out?” he asked.
“Completely,” Isabelle replied with a smile.
Maddox let out a long sigh. The Savage family only had this one daughter. Blaze was getting incredibly lucky.
If Maddox hadn’t called Isabelle over earlier, he might have been tempted to find something heavy to throw.
No matter how you looked at it, the Savage family’s precious girl shouldn’t have ended up with a lone wolf like Blaze. But Callum, for reasons of his own, saw potential in him.
And the relentless gossip mill had only accelerated the whole affair.
Maddox glanced at Isabelle’s own flushed, happy face, then looked away, a complex expression passing over his features before he schooled it back to neutrality.

Chapter 222 Morning After
Damian really had won the jackpot…
“Mr. Savage, if there’s nothing else, I’ll be heading back now,” Isabelle said softly.
Maddox gave a noncommittal grunt in response, not meeting her eyes.

Isabelle didn’t return directly to her own room. Instead, she made her way to the pavilion where Diana, April, and Violet were still enjoying drinks and skewers from the barbecue.
“When did you all even get back? You didn’t say a word,” Isabelle said, watching the three of them leaning comfortably against each other.
Seeing her approach, April grinned. “Your man basically hired us for the month. I never thought I’d see the day someone would slap a retainer in my face and force me to take a vacation. Your honey is a first.”
“So when did this whole plan start?” Isabelle poured herself a glass of wine and glanced toward Damian, who was still talking with a few remaining guests in the courtyard.
He felt her gaze and looked back, his expression softening into a tenderness that seemed meant for her alone.
Diana frowned, thinking back. “I think I was added to the group chat at the start of last month. He started posting schedules and instructions on the third day.”
“There was a group chat?” Isabelle was genuinely surprised.
“Everyone who was here tonight was in it. Except you, of course. And Celeste. And Blaze. But those two were… unexpected additions to the guest list,” Diana explained, resting her head wearily on Violet’s shoulder. “Look at how straightforward and bold their love is. It’s kind of amazing.”
Isabelle smiled, warmth spreading through her. The sheer scale of his thoughtful affection was only now sinking in.
She picked up a skewer of grilled vegetables and took a bite.
Tonight, she had been surrounded by love from every direction, and her heart was full.
Thank goodness she had married him. D
She hadn’t made the wrong choice back then. That leap of faith had yielded a return beyond her wildest dreams.

Guests in the courtyard began to trickle out. Caroline, Regina, and their group weren’t staying the night.
Isabelle hugged both women tightly, emotions welling up that she couldn’t quite put into words.
“We’re leaving him in your care now,” Regina said with a warm smile, gently pinching Isabelle’s cheek. “And just so you know, he wasn’t ‘tricking‘ you into marriage. He was utterly
sincere.”
Isabelle burst out laughing.
Now that she thought about it, Damian had been strategic–but it had all worked out beautifully.
“I was genuinely moved by Damian’s efforts,” Caroline added, looking at her daughter with fond pride. “You two must take good care of each other!”
When Damian had first shared his proposal plans with the families, Caroline hadn’t been able to sleep for nights, too thrilled and nervous to rest.
“Don’t worry, you two,” Isabelle said softly. How could she not understand the depth of Damian’s heart?
In this lifetime, she was irrevocably his.
By the time she finished seeing off the last of her family, it was already 1:30 AM.
The courtyard was quiet now, the festivities concluded.
Blaze emerged from the shadows near the gate.
