Chapter 438 Glad You See Sense
“Ms. Clark, speaking up for him like that… what’s your relationship?” Samuel teased. Using him to pressure me cunt a few hundred thousand dollars?”
“Our relationship is my business. I’m advising you when the ads for your new company are done, be as sensible as you were today and pay up. Otherwise, I’ll have him come after you again.” Daisy issued the warning, completely unaware that Anthony was passing by.
He paused, glanced at her, and watched her expertly pour the mixed drink into a glass and slide it to a customer
Technically, they’d never even met. When he saw Samuel detained in the private room earlier, he had just thrown in a couple of intimidating lines.
He hadn’t expected Brian to tell Diana that Anthony was the one who spoke up. Now it seemed like Anthony was the one who resolved this for her.
Samuel gave a slight nod, lips pressed together. “Don’t worry. You’ll get your money.”
“Glad you see sense,” Daisy sneered.
Samuel lost his taste for drinking. He finished his glass, said goodbye to his friends, and left the pub.
“Anthony, heading out, too?” Isabelle and Diana, who had just come downstairs, ran into him around the corner.
Diana was a little tipsy, clinging to Isabelle’s arm.
Anthony looked at her. “She still loves to drink.”
“What’s life without a few drinks?” Diana said with a grin.
Anthony smiled, said goodbye to them, and left.
When Daisy looked over, she only saw Anthony’s broad back retreating.
“That was Anthony?” Daisy looked a moment longer. She’d faintly heard Isabelle call him by that name.
“Yes, Anthony,” Isabelle confirmed.
“A shame. He was right here. I should have thanked him in person.” Daisy pressed her lips together.

“There will be plenty of chances. We’re heading out, by the way. Don’t forget to come by tomorrow,” Isabelle reminded her
The ad installation for Isadiana Studio was the first thing in the morning and would likely take all day.
“I know. Don’t worry.” Daisy nodded.
Isabelle helped Diana walk out.
“Ms. Williams.” A gruff voice called out to them.
Diana and Isabelle turned.

It was Samuet.
“Well, Mr. Bennett. I thought you’d left,” Diana smiled. “Thanks again for your… generosity.”
Samuel’s face darkened. He looked at Isabelle beside her.
Diana’s friend really is exceptionally beautiful.
“Ms. Williams, setting me up like that… not very sporting,” he said, his voice low and clearly unhappy.
He was half–drunk, his breath heavy with alcohol.
“Setting you up? I’d call it justice.” Diana, emboldened by the drinks, spoke her mind.
“Mr. Bennett, wouldn’t you say you were in the wrong here?” Isabelle said, holding Diana back, afraid she’d start a fight.
“Wrong how? I owe a little money? It’s not like I can’t pay.” Samuel was furious

He wasn’t angry about paying. He was angry about being strong–armed. He had his pride. Being surrounded like that–if word got out, how would he do business?
Just having Damian sitting there silently was pressure enough. And then Anthony spoke up. The contract he just signed with Anthony was probably worthless now.
“You don’t know anything, you little girl,” Samuel said, pointing at Isabelle.
Isabelle and Diana took a step back.
Just then, Samuel’s phone rang.
Gary, who had just arrived, approached with his phone. “Mistey, did you book a driver?”
“Yeah,” Samuel snapped, glancing at him. “Wait over there. Can’t you see I’m busy?”
“Mister…” Before Gary could finish, Samuel slapped him across the face.
“A cheap driver dares interrupt me?” Samuel was clearly out of control. After scoffing at Gary, he turned back to the two women.
Isabelle hadn’t expected Samuel to be this enraged. She glanced at Gary. While she felt it was unfair, she didn’t feel particularly sorry for him.
