Chapter 459 Memories
Damian reached into his pocket and pulled out a small object. “Look.”
Dangling from his finger was a Baymax keychain.

Back when they had first gotten together, Damian had noticed a few Big Hero 6 figurines and knick–knacks, including Baymax, arranged on her desk as he sat in her pink office chair.
Over the past few days, he’d asked a friend overseas to source some limited–edition collectible figures and keychains.
He wasn’t sure if she still liked them as much as before.
A slight smile touched Damian’s lips. It was somewhat unusual for a woman to be into a movie like that, to be so fond of Baymax… Isabelle saw the Baymax in his hand, let go of his arm, and took the keychain carefully with both hands.
“Where did you find this? It’s so tiny! And the detail is incredible.”
The Keychain featured two small Baymax figures and carried a faint, pleasant scent.
Her face lit up with genuine delight. It was clear she still loved it.
He had given her plenty of expensive gifts before–emeralds, pink diamonds–and her reactions had always been politely subdued. Items worth millions barely seemed to impress her, yet this little trinket could make her this happy.
“A friend brought it back from overseas. Couldn’t find one with a tulip scent, only gardenia. Do you like it?”
“I love it! It’s adorable!” Isabelle rose on her tiptoes and planted a quick, soft kiss on the corner of his mouth. “Thank you, honey!”
“I love it so much!” Isabelle kept murmuring, utterly absorbed in admiring the keychain.
Damian looked at his now–empty hand, feeling a twinge of regret. Maybe he should have waited to give it to her once they got home.
“There’s something I’ve been meaning to ask you.”
“Go ahead.” Isabelle was still engrossed with the keychain.

“That time you got into my car, why did you call me Baymax?” Damian asked, looking at her seriously.
That day, Isabelle was completely drunk. Brian had helped her into the back seat. Once inside, she saw Damian, immediately wrapped her arms around him, and settled onto his lap.
“Baymax?”
Damian had been utterly confused. What was Baymax?
“Why did you turn all black?” Isabelle had started tugging at his clothes. “Why are you wearing all this black? It’s so grim! Take it off…”
Brian, driving up front, watched her audacious moves in the rearview mirror.

Damian had gripped his collar tightly, not letting her undress him, but he hadn’t said a word.

Brian had wanted Damian to move to the passenger seat, but seeing several company employees walking out of the building, he hurriedly drove away.
“Why are you holding on? Take it off, it’s not like haven’t seen…” Isabelle had leaned in, both hands pulling at his shirt.
“Isabelle, you’re crossing a line…” Damian’s voice had turned rough.
Brian had swallowed hard.
A few employees had caught a glimpse of the scene. Luckily, they only saw backlit silhouettes and couldn’t make out who it was.
Isabelle hadn’t been able to get his shirt off. Damian was desperately guarding his virtue, but then she bit his hand. Damian let go with a sharp hiss.
Next, his shirt was yanked open by Isabelle.
She patted his chest contentedly. “See! Much better!”
She slid her arms around Damian’s waist, her hands slipping inside his now–unbuttoned shirt.
Stirred up by her squirming, feeling hot all over, Damian hadn’t dared to move. He initially thought about pushing her away, but then he felt a warm wetness on his chest. She was crying.
Sobbing uncontrollably.
The fire she had lit in him flared and then sputtered out. The feeling… was agonizing.
After that, she just kept crying and ranting about Gary, which eventually led to what happened later.
Brian’s account to Isabelle had been rather… sanitized.
“I…” Isabelle hemmed and hawed, trying hard to dredge up the memory of that day.
She only remembered a beam of light, falling right on his face, illuminating his features. It was similar to how Baymax first appeared in the movie.
“I don’t really remember either,” Isabelle finally said, pursing her lips before looking up at him with a giggle.
How could she possibly remember clearly?
The only thing she remembered for certain was that moment later–the pain so sharp it nearly overwhelmed her. It was also the moment she began to regain some clarity.
But by then, it was already too late.
“Hurts” She hadn’t even gotten the full word out before he sealed her lips with his.
That ravenous wolf put every ounce of his focus into it, consuming her from head to toe.
Her lips felt almost bruised.
With a lingering sense of flustered dread, Isabelle quickened her pace, walking a few steps ahead.
