In a panic, Isabelle scrambled to shove Damian out of the phone’s camera view, practically wrestling him back onto the couch.

“Who are you video calling in the middle of the night?” Damian grumbled, quickly pulling his pajamas shut to hide the body chain, his eyes darting to her phone.

Isabelle wanted the couch to swallow her whole. She buried her face in his chest dying of secondhand embarrassment.

Lynn pressed her lips together, not daring to look at him. She sat stiff as a board, like a kid who’d been caught.
