Chapter 531 What Do You See in Him?
Lynn was at a loss for how to describe him.
Petra seemed to have overheard their conversation and walked over.

Lynn hadn’t noticed Petra had come up behind her. She was saying to Gordon, “Lucas doesn’t drink, gamble, or fool around. He’s better in every way than those other rich boys. Besides, Lancas treats me pretty well now. At the very least, as a boyfriend, he’s decent enough, and he definitely wouldn’t bully e
in the future.”
Gordon was fuming but couldn’t find the words to argue back.
Petra, standing behind them, had heard every word. A small smile touched her lips as she placed a Kand on Lynn’s shoulder.
Lynn jumped, turning to look.
“Mrs. Moore…” she said.
Petra was a gentle person, and her smile made her seem even softer. “You’re a good girl. Lucas is a loyal man, too. If you marry into our family, he definitely won’t let you down.”
Lynn paused, forcing an awkward smile. Those things she’d just said were mostly to brush off Gordon.
Lucas really was as she described, but having his mother hear it from her own mouth was a different story. Petra probably thought Lynn was head over heels for him.
Betty smiled, pulled over a chair, and invited Petra to sit down. The two mothers started chatting. Occasionally bringing up the wedding plans.
Lynn rubbed her forehead. I just talked to Lucas about a one–month trial. If they force this wedding date now, what do I do if I still don’t like him in the end?
Lucas gave her mixed feelings–sometimes she liked him, sometimes he really annoyed her. She couldn’t make up her own mind.
She lowered her head and picked at her fingernails. Her thoughts had completely drifted away from their conversation.
“Lynn,” a familiar voice called her.
She looked up and saw Daisy and Isabelle. Her face lit up. She stood, said a quick word to the people beside her, and walked over.
“What are you two doing here?” Lynn asked, relieved to have an escape from the older generation’s well-
meaning pressure.
Daisy clicked her tongue, looking at her with mock disdain. “You’re so quick to ditch us for a man. Lucas and I have been friends for years. I came with my parents. It’s normal.”

Isabelle shrugged. “I came with Damian.”
The three of them found a quiet spot in the yard to sit down.
Isabelle asked. “You’ve been living with him for a while now. Still no real feelings?”
Lynn gave a flat, fake smile. “Lucas. Brilliant as hell, but zero social sense.”

Daisy looked at her with great interest. “So what do you see in him? That he’s in his thirties? That he’s seven or eight years older than you? Or that he’s huge and good in bed?”
Lynn was speechless. Daisy really says whatever comes to mind.
Isabelle pressed her lips together and asked softly, “That day… was Lucas upset?”
Lynn was about to answer but suddenly coughed a couple of times.
Isabelle was referring to the day of their video call. Damian’s unexpected appearance that day had clearly put Lucas in a bad mood.
Daisy seemed to catch a whiff of gossip. “What happened?”
Isabelle gave an awkward laugh. “Nothing.”
Lynn glanced at Isabelle and smiled secretly.
“You’re keeping something from me.” Daisy said, unsatisfied.
Lynn teased, “Your old crush spent the night wearing a body chain to seduce your rival.”
Daisy let out a long, drawn–out “Whoa,” as if she’d heard something unbelievable. She gave Isabelle a thumbs–up.
Daisy gasped in amazement. “You have no idea how straight–laced and proper Damian used to be. He’d even blush just talking to people. Now he’s putting his looks on full display for you. That’s seriously impressive.”
Daisy looked toward the living room where Damian was talking with Lucas. She clicked her tongue several times. “He’s been trained to be such a flirt now.”
She couldn’t even picture what Damian must have looked like standing in front of Isabelle with that body chain on.
Isabelle lowered her head, slightly embarrassed. After spending so much time with them, she didn’t get shocked easily by these kinds of topics anymore.
Daisy asked with a lecherous grin, “Did he dance for you?”
“Huh?” Isabelle’s face flushed bright red. “No.”
Damian absolutely refused to dance. Wearing the body chain was already his absolute limit.
