Sunlight spilled over their relaxed faces as Lucas reached out, tapping her nose and pinching her check lightly.
“Lynn,” he said.
“Hmm?” she replied, her voice still sleepy.
“I’ve been waiting for this day for a long time,” Lucas said, his eyes tracing her features.
“Waiting for what?” Lynn asked, confused.
“Waiting to wake up with you in my arms, waiting to see you smile at me, waiting for the day you say ‘Lucas, I like you,” he confessed.
Lynn’s heart skipped a beat, her mind going blank.
Lucas was such a softie deep down–she’d never thought he’d daydream about things like this.
She’d assumed he was content just liking her, but he wanted more.
He wanted to do all these little things with her.
Flipping onto her side, Lynn mirrored him, pinching his cheek before placing a finger on his nose.
“Lucas, I like you. I’ve wanted to wake up in your arms like this for a long time,” she murmured.
He expected a sweet confession, but instead, she huffed, “Too bad you were an idiot and rejected me back
then.
“If you hadn’t, I wouldn’t have called off the engagement. Honestly, you’re such a handful!”
Left speechless, Lucas could only stare.
That’s not the reaction I was hoping for.
Talk about holding a grudge!
“Let’s not talk about that on such a nice morning,” he said, pressing a kiss to her forehead.
With a soft hum, Lynn snuggled deeper into his chest.
He patted her head like a child, pulling her tight and throwing a heavy leg over her waist to secure her.
Before the broken engagement, Lynn had held a spark of attraction for him–he had the body and face of a god.
But he’d never glanced her way, and his cold attitude had eventually extinguished her interest.
A man with a face to charm the world, yet a temper to ruin it.

Chapter 603 Okay
Who would have guessed a single rescue mission would make him fall so hard, so fast?
“You gonna get up?” he whispered.
“No, I want more hugs,” Lynn replied, melting against him.

It felt perfect–especially when he relaxed, his chest muscles soft and plump, almost like a teddy bear.
Unable to resist, she reached out to touch them, thinking even her bra would fit him.
The thought made her giggle.
“You satisfied with me?” Lucas asked, looking down.
“Yeah, you’re okay,” Lynn teased with a smile.
A frown tugged at his brow. Okay? She was practically begging for more last night in the car, and now it’s just ‘okay‘?
Playfully, he tensed his chest muscles beneath her hand.
“Hmm?” Lynn squeezed, her eyes widening. “So hard…”
She froze, the double meaning hitting her.
Meeting his intense, predatory gaze, Lynn yanked her hand back, deciding not to tease him–especially with her back still sore.
Before she could escape, he caught her wrist.
“Just okay?” Lucas feigned offense.
Stammering, Lynn tried to backtrack. “No, I mean…”
She didn’t know how to explain it. Why is he so sensitive? Do all guys hate being called “okay“?
“Answer me again,” he demanded.
Lynn rolled her eyes at his childishness, but trapped in his grip, she buried her face in his chest and mumbled, “You’re really good.”
“Really good?” he asked.
“I’ve never been with anyone else. How would I know what’s good?” she admitted, face burning.
Releasing her wrist, he tilted her chin up to force eye contact, his voice low and hoarse. “Did you feel good last night?”
Embarrassment washed over her; she wanted to hide under the covers. When she pulled his hand away, he refused to let it go.
