Chapter 212 Blake’s Secret
“What are you waiting for?” Blake pushed off the ground and came straight at Sylvara.
This time, he didn’t hold back at all. His strike aimed right for her heart.

Sylvara didn’t move. She lifted her chin and watched him rush toward her. “What am I waiting for? You know exactly what it is.”
As soon as she finished speaking, she swung Smokewillow.
Crack! Smokewillow struck Blake’s blade, sending out a flash of blue sparks. The ice covering his long blade melted in an instant.
Blake lifted a brow, suddenly understanding. “Oh, so that blue lightning earlier! It was you who called it
down.”
Sylvara pulled Smokewillow toward her.
She had expected Blake to figure that out.
But it didn’t matter. Once she exposed his hidden identity, they’d be tied together; no one could betray the other.
“Please, I’m nowhere near your level. You’ve been fooling the whole empire,” Sylvara said with a bright smile. She flicked the Smokewillow. The vine slithered toward Blake like a living snake.
With only half of his frozen blade left, Blake flipped the handle and slashed at Smokewillow.
Smokewillow split into two. Then four. Then six. He cut one vine, but the others moved like shadows, wrapping around his ankles and wrists.
Sylvara grinned cunningly as her trick worked out. “Sorry, Blake! Looks like you lost the match.”
“I haven’t lost yet.” Her violet eyes turned cold. In an instant, sharp ice spikes burst from her body.
The spikes formed blades that sliced through the vines Binding Blake’s ankles and wrists.
Sylvara didn’t stop smiling. She controlled the last vine still wrapped around Blake’s ankle and yanked it
downward.
She gasped, holding her stomach as she dropped like a bird with a broken wing.
Sylvara frowned and dove after her. Blake’s violet eyes had turned red, and sweat slid down her forehead.
She hadn’t hit Blake that hard. And she definitely didn’t strike her stomach. Why was she holding it?
Blake was about to crash into the ground. Sylvara grabbed his wrist to support him from falling.
But the moment she touched Blake, her face changed sharply. Sylvara grip tightened, as if needing to confirm something. Blake kicked her hard, breaking fre. Then ten sharp ice spikes shot at Sylvara like darts.
She flew back from the kick and rolled to avoid the spiks. Sylvara hit the ground with a heavy thud, dropping to one knee. One hand braced the ground, the other held her knee as she lifted her head sharply. Her eyes locked on Blake, who had landed not far ahead still clutching her stomach.

Life!
Sylvara felt it. Inside Blake’s body was another heartbea Another pulse of life.
She narrowed her eyes.
Her gaze pinned Blake like a hawk staring down prey.
Inside, her thoughts spun wildly.
Blake wasn’t just hiding a secret. She was a whole treasure trove.
A once-in-a-thousand-years miracle she had somehow tumbled onto. Absolutely unbelievable.
At first, when Sylvara listened to Veyric talk about Blake she thought Blake was a guy who dressed as a girl. She figured Blake made up a sister so he could wear a dress and pretend to be her to marry Relos.
Then, when they were trading insults and he refused to take off his shirt, she switched theories. Maybe he was actually a girl dressing as a guy to get into the military academy and then created a “sister” so that identity could wear a dress and marry Relos instead.
That was the guess she settled on. But the moment they really fought, she realized-nope. Blake was actually a woman disguised as a man.
Since they were the same gender, Sylvara decided she didn’t need to go easy on Blake. Not anymore.
But when the real fight got heated, she grabbed her wrist, and everything flipped upside down. Blake mental energy fluttered for a second. Her pulse felt smooth and strong, steady and full. It was a clear sign. A pregnancy pulse.
Sylvara almost short-circuited on the spot. She couldn’t tell male from female anymore. She felt like a complete failure.
“Sister-in-law!” Sylvara rubbed her palm against her knee, pushed herself upright, and slowly raised both hands. “Can we take a break? Just pause the fight for a second?”
