Chapter 213 Snake in Disguise
Blake’s violet eyes were turning red. She stood straight in her combat suit, but her waist was bent from the hit Sylvara had given her.
“Don’t bring him over. He’s fine hanging there,” Blake said, waving Sylvara closer. “You. Come here.”
Come closer?
From the look in Blake’s eyes, Sylvara realized something-Blake already knew about the lifeform inside her body.
So, what was Blake? How was she a non-human? Why did she keep risking her life, jumping around, hiding the truth, and running into military training just to fight her?
Was she not afraid of dying?
Sylvara called her name plainly. “Blake, honestly, whatever you are doesn’t matter to me.
“But dishonesty is a bad habit. Ever since you covered for me in front of Agares, I felt like we were family. Maybe even friends.”
Blake let out a small snort, seeing right through Sylvaras sly act.
“Nice speech, but I bet your family doesn’t even know who you really are.” She added, “For most girls, a man with zero fertility value is someone to avoid. But you keep moving closer to him. Don’t tell me your fertility value is also zero.”
Sylvara grinned wide. “You guessed right. Mine is zero. And since Agares is also zero, plus he’s high-ranked and exactly my type, of course I wanted to claim him.
“But you,” she went on, “you’re asking me to walk over there. What if you ambush me? You’ve done that before, General Kenobia.”
Blake’s lips curled. Sweat slid down her jaw and dripped onto the ground. Her body bent even more. “Look at me. I can’t beat you right now, can I?”
Sylvara sighed dramatically. “Fine. We’re family, after all. You covered for me once. I’ll trust you this time.”
She put Smokewillow away and walked toward Blake.
Suddenly, Blake’s legs buckled, and she fell forward.
“Careful!” Sylvara said, catching her.
A shimmer flashed across Blake’s reddened eyes.
The moment Sylvara caught her, Blake twisted her hand and clamped down hard on Sylvara’s wrist.
Sylvara’s expression changed. She felt her healing energy rushing out of her and going straight into Blake.
The pale color vanished from Blake’s face at once. Her red eyes returned to violet, and her lips lifted into a pleased smile. “Sweetheart, thanks.”
“Sis, that’s not very honorable of you!” Sylvara’s eyes flashed with sharp, deadly intent. She didn’t struggle or fight back, even as her mental energy rushed straight in Blake’s body. Instead, she spoke in a cool, steady

Blake lifted her brows. Her violet eyes shimmered with light, as if the one who couldn’t stand up a moment ago wasn’t her at all. “I know nothing comes free. If you want to look at my abs later or feel them, go ahead. Your choice.”
Sylvara let out a dry chuckle, though her eyes stayed coll. “I will look at your abs. But I also need to know what species you are.”
“I’m in a good mood, so here’s a warning,” Sylvara added voice sharp. “Don’t make me lose my patience. If I get annoyed, I won’t even spare a lifeform. When that happens, don’t blame me for coming after you.”
This creature wasn’t a man pretending to be a woman. Nor a woman pretending to be a man. Wasn’t a he or a she in any normal sense.
It was a non-human.
She was an NFS. A non-human female species that got pregnant.
Blake heard the threat but didn’t even flinch. Her violet eyes only grew brighter. “I get it. But that baby you felt? Just your imagination. I’m weak and need treatment. So, I gave you a little illusion. If you don’t believe me, go on, touch it.”
She didn’t try to take Sylvara’s mental energy again. Instead, she guided Sylvara’s hand to her lower stomach.
Her abdomen was completely flat. Not even a hint of a bump.
Sylvara’s fingers twitched. NFS were famous for hiding everything, even their pregnancy.
Blake let go of her wrist and lifted both hands in a harmless pose. Her violet eyes looked pure and innocent. “I keep my word. You can touch the abs all you want.”
“Honestly,” she added, “I was only testing your ability. I figured you had plant-healer-type mental energy. And look, I was right. Your energy has great healing effects. It fixed most of my old injuries.”
She wasn’t just a snake. She was a snake plus a hound, a trickster.
Every word out of her mouth was something Sylvara should never trust.
What Blake did earlier wasn’t treatment. It was devouring.
That ability could absorb someone else’s mental energy and claim it as her own.
She’d devour Sylvara’s power to heal herself, which meant Blake didn’t just have an ice-type ability.
Blake had more, maybe as many abilities as Sylvara did
Even if she had fewer, this single devour ability was enough to make her dangerous. Blake was someone who didn’t need to fear anybody.
“Sis,” Sylvara said, palm still resting on Blake’s stomach, do I look like I have a silly face and a slow brain? Or am I just too honest? Whatever you say, I’m supposed to believe it?” Her abs were firm under Sylvara’s hand. Even through the combat suit, they felt surprisingly good.
