Sylvara's Rebirth A New Dawn for Abel novel Chapter 236

Chapter 236 Daddy’s Little Secret

Finished

Sylvara stared at the pile of eggs until her eyes went all lurry. She wished she could slap herself. Why did she decide to host an “all-egg feast” for fun? Great. Just great. Even if that huge black egg had no life inside, it was still Blake’s baby.

If she really cooked Blake’s baby, then fine, she wouldn’t need to hide her fertility value or any of her other skills anymore. Blake would rally the whole nation, hun her down, and tear her into eight pieces and still

not calm down.

“Put all the black eggs on the table,” Sylvara said after thinking hard. “Lay a soft blanket on it so they don’t get cold. And take every other egg away. Only leave the black ones.”

The robot followed her order. It carried the other ten baskets of eggs back to the kitchen, then spread a white fluffy cloth across the dining table.

One by one, it lined up 201 black eggs on the soft white cloth.

When it finished, Sylvara waved a hand. “My white wine should’ve arrived. Go to the portal and bring

“Yes, Ms. Feywin.” The robot zipped away.

Sylvara leaned over the table, staring at all 201 black eggs, feeling like crying into the table.

To her, every single egg looked exactly the same. There was no difference. No clue. Nothing. She wiped away a tear that didn’t exist and growled, “Alright, you little black eggs. Whoever belongs to that old fart, hurry up and roll out. Otherwise, I’m tossing all of you into a pot!”

All 201 eggs remained perfectly still.

A cold draft brushed across her back. A cold shiver ran down her spine.

“I’m giving you one more chance,” she warned, tapping the table. “Come out nicely on your own. If not, when I find your dad later, I’ll—” she paused, “—I’ll give him a good smack.”

The eggs stayed silent.

In the quiet room, Sylvara felt the deep, silent mockery of 200 eggs. It was like they were laughing at her for not knowing which one belonged to Blake.

Right.

Blake would definitely know her baby.

Sylvara’s eyes

lit up. She quickly called Blake’s video line.

The call rang three times and connected.

She didn’t even check who appeared on the screen. She immediately shoved the camera right up to the eggs and blurted, “Blake! Hurry! Which one is your baby?!”

She waited.

No answer.

She urged in panic, “Blake, come on! Pick out your baby before I cook it!”

Still nothing.

She lifted her head toward the screen. Her mind froze. wasn’t Blake on the screen. Her heart sank as she waved awkwardly. She had meant to greet him as Your Majesty, but what came out instead was this. “Hello,

mister!”

Emperor Relos appeared in fine casual clothes, regal from head to toe. His presence filled the room even through the screen. He had the same sharp, noble features as Agares, though his expression was tighter, like a storm held behind calm eyes. His deep, steady voice rumbled through the speaker. “Hello. May I ask what your relationship is with Blake? Why did she save your name as sweetheart? And this ‘baby’ you mentioned, who exactly is it?”

Even though they were on a video call, the camera on Sylvara’s side wasn’t showing her face. It was pointed straight at a table full of black eggs. Relos could only hear her voice. From the sound of it, she was clear young girl.

“Answer my question,” Relos said. His steady voice carried a hint of anger. “What exactly is your rela with Blake? And this baby you mentioned, who is that?”

See? Relos genuinely had no idea about the egg.

Blake, that old geezer, had kept him in the dark. What a terrible person.

Sylvara darted her eyes. The moment she remembered how Blake tricked her into hatching the egg, her annoyance flared. Instead of staying passive, she flipped the whole situation around. “Who are you?” she shot back. “Why are you holding my daddy’s optical computer? Where is my Daddy?”

“You’re calling him Daddy?” Relos’s dark eyes flickered. You’re his daughter?”

Sylvara softened her bright, clear voice, sounding tiny and sweet. “Yeah. He’s my Daddy. I usually call him Blake. He and my mom get along great. Mister, who are you, and why do you have his optical computer?”

Relos ground his molars so hard he could’ve broken them. His words squeezed through clenched teeth. “He and your mother get along great?”

Relos was panicking. His face dropped.

He was grinding his teeth.

Sylvara decided that smearing Blake was more important than finding the missing black egg, so she pushed even harder. “Of course! Daddy and my mom are super close. He treats me great too. He always says I’m the apple of his eye.

“And the baby I mentioned? That’s the gift he gave me a little egg that can hatch a chick. Mister, seriously, who are you?”

“Who am I? You can ask your daddy later.” Relos’s knuckles turned white from how hard he was holding the device. He couldn’t keep his calm anymore. He cut off the call, tossed the optical computer onto the bed, grabbed his waist with both hands, and glared at the bathroom door where the sound of running water echoed.
