Sylvara's Rebirth A New Dawn for Abel novel Chapter 256

Chapter 256 Strawberries!

Saying they’d sleep at a hotel was just an excuse.

And she actually believed it.

Sylvara let out a silent sigh. She definitely wasn’t expecting to go somewhere wild or fun.

The palace was huge and fancy, heavy with history.

Every pillar and hallway looked like it had a story to tell

Wait, why am I getting all sentimental? Who cares about the history?

The main thing was there was no one here.

Sylvara followed Blake for a good ten minutes, through hallways and across courtyards, and didn’t see a single soul.

She didn’t even get the chance to ask about it.

Blake led her into a tall, echoey palace hall.

Inside, the place was decorated with so many bright, colorful gems that it was blinding.

Luxurious but tacky.

Totally not Blake’s style.

But since this was her territory, Sylvara didn’t ask anything. She just kept walking.

After a while, she saw a huge round … nest?

Curtains hung down around it, covering whatever was inside.

“Go. That’s your bed,” Blake tilted her chin up, showing off her long neck and subtle Adam’s apple as she pointed Sylvara toward the round “nest.”

So, she meant it?

No wild fun tonight?

Sylvara swallowed. Fine. It had been a long, exhausting day so resting isn’t a bad idea.

Besides, she could feel a very comfortable wave of mental energy coming from the nest, pulling at her.

She walked over. The moment she lifted a small part of the curtain, she locked eyes with a pair of dark, familiar, angry eyes.

Sylvara’s hand shook. She dropped the curtain and instantly spun around, throwing herself at Blake. “Blake, even if you don’t want me, you can’t abandon our daughter and our egg!”

Blake was caught off guard and stumbled back a step.

Sylvara was surprisingly strong-she pushed herself into her arms again.

To steady herself, Blake reached out, wrapped an arm around her shoulders, and tried to pull her away.

Sylvara knew what she was doing. She wrapped her arm around her waist, and pressed her face to her chest. She let out a fake, trembling sob. “Blake, I don’t need a title! I don’t need status! I don’t need your money! Just be kind to our daughter and our egg!”

“Did you take the wrong meds?” Blake lowered her eyes and looked at the furry head glued to her chest. “Did your brain short-circuit? Do you need me to take you to the hospital?”

She’s calling me crazy?

So she doesn’t know someone was inside her giant round “nest

The old fox finally slipped up?

Thank you, universe!

Sylvara was thrilled and played the delicate, innocent victim flawlessly. “Blake, I’m not crazy! Don’t be so heartless! I’d do anything for you!

“Just let me watch you from afar. Let me watch our daughter and the egg you gave her. I’ll be content. I won’t bother you, I won’t get in your life, I won’t be a burden.”

She wailed, making sure to rub her cheek against Blake’s firm chest to take advantage of the moment.

Blake couldn’t pull her off by her shoulders, then she moved her hand up to her head and yanked her long hair.

She pulled her head back, forcing her to look up with a rebellious smirk. “Sweetheart, the empire’s entertainment industry is pretty good. How about I introduce you to an agency? With my recommendation, the pay would be excellent.”

In other words: stop acting, your performance sucks.

Sylvara grinned and lowered her voice. “Perfect. You can be my agent. We’ll split the money 80-20. What do you think, honey?”

That last “honey” was extra loud.

Right after she said that-whap-the curtain on the nest was pulled open.

The Emperor of the Troya Empire was sitting inside the nest. His dark eyes, which looked a lot like Agares’s, stared furiously at the two people tugging at each other.

Sylvara had been watching the “nest” from the corner of her eye. When she saw the Emperor pull open the curtain, her pupils tightened. Her inner fangirl freaked out.

Strawberries!

So many strawberries.

She saw so many strawberries on him.

Oh my god!

My ship is sailing!
