“I’ll call the Supreme Court right now,” Blake said calmly. “I’ll have them come here to evaluate your mental state and collect evidence for a ruling.”
The moment Anry heard Blake mention the Supreme Court, her body twisted with pain. It felt like knives cutting and needles stabbing. Still, she forced a sneer and spoke with sharp sarcasm. “General Kenobia, what do you think you’re doing?”
“Just because your sister is the Empress and the Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme Court, it doesn’t mean you can use connections to push the court into handling some minor insult or defamation case.
“And besides,” Anry continued, raising her voice, “today is the Four-Party Meeting. This young lady has no rank and no official status. Just because she came with you doesn’t mean she gets to walk in freely and be treated like royalty.”
What a sharp eye this old woman had.
She saw it at once. Sylvara really was royalty, and she was 3,000 years older than them.
Sylvara silently gave Anry a thumbs-up.
Impressive! Truly impressive!
Blake remained unhurried, her tone light, as if she were chatting over tea. “Elder Anry, you have a point,” she said. “Whether the case is accepted or not, shouldn’t that be your responsibility as the head of the Elder Council? This is a he-said, she-said situation. Let’s just make the call and see.”
She tapped her optical computer and turned on speaker mode.
It
rang twice before connecting. A respectful voice came through. “Hello, this is the Central Supreme Court case intake division. How may we assist you?”
Blake’s violet eyes stayed locked on Anry as she spoke, her lips curling slightly. “Hello, This is Blake Kenobia. I’m at the entrance of the Elder Council. Members of the Council have publicly insulted a member of the royal family.
“Please form a task force immediately and come here to arrest Elder Anry of the Elder Council and begin an investigation to collect evi—”
She didn’t get to finish the word.
Anry’s face had gone paper white. Twisted with pain and panic, she lunged toward Blake. “General Kenobia, this is a misunderstanding! It’s all a misunderstanding!”

Blake shifted one booted leg aside. Anry missed her completely and fell hard. Blake spoke politely into the device. “Please come as soon as possible. Thank you.”
The call ended.
Anry lay sprawled on the ground, looking utterly defeated. She lifted her head and stared at Sylvara.
A royal family member.
The true royal bloodline-direct and legitimate-counted only three people, including the Empress.
Blake was related by marriage, not a direct royal member.
So this girl, the one who called her an old woman, was a royal member? Could she be Agares’s wife?
Sylvara caught that flicker of doubt in Anry’s eyes. She turned and called out sweetly to Blake. “Daddy, you nearly gave your life for the Empire. You’re covered in old injuries. And now any random nobody thinks they can bully you.”
She sighed dramatically. “You’re really pitiful. Maybe you should resign as Royal Guard Commander. We could wander the galaxy together. At least that wouldn’t break your heart.”
Blake’s daughter?
Shock flashed through Anry’s eyes. Her mouth fell slightly open.
Wasn’t he always sick? Resting in the palace? Some days, he could barely get out of bed.
With a body like that, who would marry him?
When did he even register a marriage?
And his daughter was already this grown?
The girl was petite and well-built, striking and bold at the same time. She clearly inherited the best of her parents’ genes. Her mental energy was stable. Her genetics showed no flaws. She was healthy.
And Anry? She was 110 years old and childless.
Jealousy flickered in Anry’s eyes. Others had heirs. She did not. Her genetic breakdown and unstable mental energy had made it impossible for her to produce one.

Just then, officers from the military came out of the Council Hall. They happened to hear Sylvara’s words.
One by one, they began criticizing the Elder Council.
The other elders rushed over and helped Anry up from the floor, where she lay in a miserable heap.
