Sylvara gave a soft snort. “Careful,” she said lazily. “Keep that going for day and night, and you’ll end up with weak legs. Anyway, if nothing else comes up, I’m heading back tomorrow morning.”
Life at the military academy was relaxed and mostly carefree.
The palace was nice, sure.
But every day came with pressure.
And constant public romance.
Who could stand that?
.”You should delay it for a couple of days,” Blake said, sitting down on the edge of the bed. “We’re going to Cryo Planet first.”
Sylvara frowned. “Why are we going to Cryo Planet?”
Blake tapped her device and opened the holographic screen. “To buy two farm planets. Since your Level-7 Plant Healer status needs to stay hidden, you’ll need your own farm planets as cover.”
She paused, then continued, “I just got news. This auction on Cryo Planet isn’t only selling farm planets. They also have unmutated seeds from ancient Earth and a saber.”
“A saber?” Sylvara’s interest sparked at once. “A saber dug up from ancient Earth?”
“Yes,” Blake said. “A saber from ancient Earth. It once belonged to Hesperia’s war goddess from 3,000 years ago. This one.”
She flicked her fingers, and the image projected into the air.
Sylvara lifted her head. Her pupils tightened. That was her blade.
The one she had used to cut down zombies 3,000 years ago.
“It’s beautiful, right?” Blake asked, watching her stare. “Even more beautiful than the one Agares uses. Don’t you think?”
She tapped again. A second image appeared. Agares gripping his saber, blood smeared across his face after slaughtering a mutant beast, the kind of image that sent the entire empire into a frenzy.

Eggy, hiding under the blanket like a living radar, instantly detected that Sylvara had left the palace. With a whoosh, it flew straight after her.
Sylvara said goodbye to Relos. She had barely spoken two sentences when Eggy dropped right into her arms.
Relos looked at Eggy, then suddenly changed his tone. “Sylvara, the more I look at this pet egg of yours, the more I feel it’s unusually intelligent.”
“Do you like it?” Blake’s violet eyes flickered as she asked casually. “If you like it, I can find another one for you-”
