Sylvara's Rebirth A New Dawn for Abel novel Chapter 304

Chapter 304 Almost a Criminal

Was he not letting her leave now?

Was he going to take her to the police station?

What a perfect husband.

He really dumped all the suffering in the world onto he thin shoulders.

Sylvara’s mouth drooped. With her loud makeup and over-the-top look, she looked painfully ugly on purpose. “Handsome, I can’t go to the police station,” she cried. “If I go, what about my family? I’ve got elders to care for and kids to feed!

“And what if Idiotus goes home and hurts my family?” she added in panic. “I’m not going. I won’t go!”

With that, she turned and tried to slip away.

“Miss.” Agares moved faster than her. He stepped in front of her and blocked her path with one arm. “Running away won’t solve anything,” he said calmly. “Only by arresting him can you be truly safe. If you leave now, you’ll change from a victim into an accomplice. Idiotus is the main offender for illegal lending. You would be considered an accessory.”

The words stuck in Sylvara’s throat.

What? In just a few minutes, she had become an accomplice?

She bit her lip in secret, weighing her chances. Was it safer to fight her bargain-bin husband and escape? Or smash a window and jump down from the 88th floor?

After thinking it through, both options sounded insanely dangerous.

So she chose a third plan. She clutched her stomach and bent over. “My stomach hurts! It really hurts! I need the bathroom now!”

Agares narrowed his eyes and gave Auren a look.

Auren used the room card to open Room 8808 and gestured politely. “Miss, you can use the restroom inside.”

Sylvara turned and dashed into the room. She rushed into the bathroom, sat on the toilet, and immediately opened her device. She messaged Blake, asking where she was.

Blake replied almost instantly. “Sweetheart, no need to thank Daddy for giving you some alone time. It’s what I should do.”

“Alone time, my foot. He wants to take me to the police station!”

Blake was momentarily speechless.

“Take you to the police station? So you can point at me, how my image, and tell the cops to arrest me?”

Sylvara asked, “What else? Invite me there for tea?”

Blake gave up. “Alright then, sweetheart. Maybe you should just get a divorce. Let Relos give you some royal title. If that doesn’t work, I’ll just take you in as my little ister.

“Agares is hopeless. Totally hopeless. A clueless man like him doesn’t deserve a soft and cute wife like you. He only deserves his hand.”

Sylvara wisely shut her mouth.

“Stop joking, or I’ll screenshot this and show Relos. I’ll sly you’re teaching me bad things”

Blake snorted in disdain. “Both of us are shameless. Dois pretend you’re innocent, sweet girl. Those horny thoughts in your head? Even I don’t want to dig into it.”

Sylvara almost exploded. “Is this really the time to talk out that? The issue is I’m about to be dragged to the police station!”

Blake replied shamelessly. “Sweetheart, Daddy has no sinal now. No signal at all. Let’s talk later”

Inside, Sylvara cursed him a thousand times over. What garbage excuse.

She kept sending messages and then realized Blake had blocked her.

She was speechless.

Absolutely, fully speechless.

Sylvara took off the optical device on her wrist and tossed it into her spatial storage. She put on a different one instead. She pressed the flush button, stood up, and walked to the mirror. The face staring back at her looked fake, flashy, and cheap. Vulgar. Loud. The kind of face no one would ever take seriously.

She pulled a few ugly faces at the mirror, then opened the bathroom door and walked out.

The hotel suite had two bedrooms and a living room.

A sofa, a coffee table, and a massive projection screen.

The moment Sylvara stepped out, her eyes landed on Aares. He was impossible to ignore. Even with his normal-looking face, he sat alone on a single sofa, long legs crossed, his expression serious as he scrolled through the optical device on his wrist.

Sylvara raised her hand and waved it side to side like a cat. “So,” she said brightly, “when are the cops coming?”

Agares lifted his eyes. His gaze was sharp enough to cut. Are you in a hurry?” he said.

Sylvara walked over, grabbed a sofa cushion, and plopped down across from him. She pressed the cushion against her thighs. “Handsome,” she said casually, “a man and a woman alone in a room. Shouldn’t I be

excited?”

“Miss, don’t worry,” Auren said quickly. “We’re decent people. We won’t hurt you in any way.”

With the cushion covering her legs, Sylvara felt safer. She licked her lips lightly. Paired with her flashy, cheap-looking face, she gave off a bold, teasing air. “Looks can be deceiving,” she said. “You never really know what kind of person someone is. How do I know you’re decent? How do I know you’re good people?”

“If you don’t feel safe,” Auren said with a dark face, “you can turn on screen recording.”

Sylvara curled her lips. “What good would that do? I’m small, weak, and all alone. How could I fight two big
