Chapter 124
Aina
It turns out Osborne already knew about the scandal with Alex, and he didn’t tell me. I was so mad
when he told me. Because the moment I saw him, I couldn’t hold it in. I told him everything Miranda
said, every single detail, only for him to calmly admit that he knew about the affair Alex’s wife had
with her true mate, the one who ended up ditching her because he feared the Beta, Alex.
“If she wants a divorce, then we’ll give her just that,” Osborne said casually as he played with Alina’s tiny fingers.
I glared at him, still fuming, but he only sighed. “But really, Aina,” he teased, his voice turning husky,
“I just came home, and instead of cuddling me in bed, you’re talking about Alex and his problems?”
I gave him a look that clearly said don’t you dare start with me, but he only chuckled.
“Oh, come on,” he continued, still teasing, “I can feel your heat from here.”
My face instantly turned red. “Don’t! Alina is right here, silly,” I scolded, and he laughed even deeper, his voice rumbling in his chest. He reached out to tickle her, and Alina giggled, thank God she
doesn’t understand what her father meant.
Just then, a knock came at the door, and we both turned.
“Come in,” Osborne called out.
The man currently taking over Alex’s duties stepped in, bowing respectfully. “Alpha, I came to
deliver this,” he said, handing Osborne an envelope.
I crossed my arms, silently praying it wasn’t work-related, if it was, I’d lose my mind. But as
Osborne read through the paper, a faint smile began to form on his lips.
“What is it?” I asked, curious.
He looked up at me, smiling wider now. “Maurice has found his mate,” he said with clear satisfaction. “He said I should start preparing for his mating ceremony.”
I gasped, genuinely happy even though I didn’t know Maurice that well. “That’s wonderful news!” I whispered, smiling back.
Osborne nodded, looking proud. “It is. He deserves this,” he said, placing the letter on the table before glancing back at me.
If Osborne liked the man, then that was enough for me. Anyone he trusted was someone worth liking.

“That’s really great,” I murmured again, still smiling, while he leaned back against the headboard, his expression soft and pleased.
But then Osborne’s eyes shifted toward Steve, Alex’s replacement, and then to our child.
“Is the nanny outside?” he asked, his voice slow and deliberate. My eyes widened immediately-no, this man couldn’t be serious right now.
“Yes, Alpha,” Steve replied, standing straight. Osborne nodded once.
“Good. Call her in, and you can leave.”
Steve bowed one last time before stepping out. The moment the door closed, I turned to Osborne, only to find him already looking at me, that familiar slow smile curving his lips.
“Seriously?” I asked, my tone half warning, half disbelief.
Before he could answer, the nanny entered.
Alina, seeing her, stretched out her little hands with a squeal. “Nanni!”
The nanny bowed politely. “Alpha, Luna,” she greeted before taking Alina from Osborne’s arms.
“We need no disturbance for the rest of the day,” Osborne said firmly, his gaze never leaving mine. My cheeks flushed instantly as the nanny bowed again and quietly left with our daughter.
For some reason, I didn’t want to be here-because I knew exactly what would happen next. After all this time, you’d think I’d be used to this man, but my heart still raced like it was our first time alone together.
As soon as the door shut, Osborne rose and walked toward me slowly.
“Why are you standing there like a piece of wood?” he teased, his voice low as his hands slid
around my waist.
I couldn’t help but smile as I looked up at him. “You can’t blame me, can you?”
He didn’t answer. Instead, his lips crashed against mine in a hungry, consuming kiss.
His lips pressed against mine, warm and demanding, while his hand slid gently down my back, finding the zipper of my dress. With careful yet eager fingers, he undid it, the fabric slipping away as his tongue traced the contours of my mouth. I mirrored his movements, exploring him as much as he did me, lost in the heat of the moment.
When he finally broke the kiss, he didn’t ease up or let go. Instead, his hands moved with restless urgency, stripping away my dress and underwear with quick, confident motions. His scent, earthy and intoxicating, filled the room, and before I could catch my breath, I realized his desire matched

my own, raw and overwhelming.
There was no gentleness in what he did next, only fierce need. He seemed to sense this in me,
because he paused just long enough to murmur an apology. “I’m sorry for being rough,” he said,
voice low and tight with longing, “but I just can’t hold back anymore.” I wanted to reply that I
understood, but before I could speak, he spun me around and bent me over the edge of the table. I
braced myself against it, my pulse racing as I glanced back and saw him struggling with his belt and zipper, freeing himself piece by piece.
Swallowing hard, I prepared for what was coming. I too was burning with desire, but his frustration
was unlike anything I’d ever felt before. How had he managed to contain his heat for this long?
He gripped my hair gently yet firmly as he entered me in one swift, powerful motion. Small gasps of pleasure escaped my lips as he began to move, his thrusts deep and urgent. The world around
me blurred, overwhelmed by the rhythm of his body against mine and the sound of our mingled
moans.
