Chapter 127
Bella
Clai
If this man truly believes I’ll ever return his obsession, then he’s even more foolish than I thought. The only good thing about his fixation is that it benefits me, so either way, I win.
Now that my memories are back, I can finally plan my revenge.
I suffered terribly under Dylan’s hands-reduced to nothing, treated like filth: Even the maids had the audacity to mock me. It was as if I had been erased from existence… and all because Osborne
chose that fat thing over me.
The future I envisioned for myself is far from the one I ended up with.
I was meant to be Luna by his side-the one everyone feared and respected, the rightful queen on the throne. Not some forgotten, pitiful shadow pushed aside for a useless nobody.
Just then, Pascal strolled in without warning. Yes, he owns the place, but his arrogance always precedes him. He walked in with that annoying little smile, as if he controlled the air in the room.
“How have you been?” he asked, pretending he wasn’t just here yesterday before leaving while I
slept.
“What do you think?” I shot back, and he merely chuckled, taking the seat across from me.
“You look bored,” he said lightly. “Tell me-what would make you a little more lively?”
As if he didn’t already know.
I rolled my eyes, exhausted with his games.
“Stop dragging things out and get to the point,” I muttered.
He straightened on his seat and released a slow, steady breath.
“If I can’t give you the revenge you deserve on Alpha Osborne right now,” he said, “then let me at least help you with something else-your brother.”
A harsh scoff tore out of me.
“That boy is no brother of mine,” I spat.
I had always despised Maurice, the needy little thing who craved affection like a starving pup. I wanted him gone from the moment he was born. I never wanted to share my father with him.
My father had dared to have Maurice simply because he wanted a son, and that alone enraged me.

And the boy himself? Too soft. Too gentle. Too weak.
Clair
The memory of the day I almost killed him is still vivid-how his eyes widened right before he collapsed to the ground. He was lucky to survive. If things had gone just a little differently, Maurice wouldn’t be breathing today.
But of course, Osborne intervened. Osborne saved him.
Now that I think back on it, that was the very moment everything shifted. The day Osborne
stopped being the man who once wanted me… and became the man who couldn’t stand to be
around me.
All because of Maurice.
Maybe going after Maurice first wasn’t such a bad idea-but with him sitting as the Alpha of
Waterford Pack now, how exactly was Pascal planning to pull that off?
“And how will you manage that?” I asked, eyeing him. His expression brightened immediately, like a child finally allowed to speak.
“You should know how powerful I am,” he began, puffing himself up with confidence he didn’t truly have. This was the same man who almost shit his pants just hearing Osborne’s name, yet here he
was bragging.
He continued, “Waterford isn’t what it used to be. They’re nothing compared to their former strength. They’re still recovering, barely. Taking revenge on your brother will be easy.”
He still hadn’t said anything to get my attention. My face stayed blank.
It wasn’t until he added, “Your brother’s mating ceremony is coming up soon. That’s the best chance to strike,” that something finally shifted in me.
Maurice found his mate. Of course he did.
They all get to live happily, while I was dragged through hell.
But let them enjoy it for now.
Because I will make them pay. Every last one of them. And this opportunity?
It’s exactly what I’ve been waiting for.
“If you say so, then I’ll trust you, Pascal,” I told him. He nodded eagerly, almost too eager.
“So,” he said, handing me his tablet, “this is the announcement about his marriage. And that-” he tapped the screen “-is the girl he’s mated to.”
I took the device and glanced at the photo, but the moment my eyes landed on them, I froze.

Maurice didn’t look anything like the weak, soft boy I remembered. He looked… different.
Hardened. Like a man who’d finally learned to command. The sharp lines across his face carried
authority, and for a moment I swallowed, caught off guard. His eyes were cold, emotionless, even
as the picture was taken, but despite all that, I saw his vulnerability immediately: his hand wrapped
protectively around her waist.
And the girl-l scoffed.
He really did take after Osborne, choosing another fatty.
But then something tugged at me. Her face… it looked familiar, like a memory trying to claw its
way back. Maybe I had seen her before. Maybe I hadn’t. Either way, I hated her already-for being
fat, for being his mate, for being there.
“When is their mating ceremony?” I asked, still staring at the screen. →
“This weekend,” he replied.
My head snapped up. “So soon?” I asked, surprised. Pascal nodded, a sly smile creeping onto his
face.
“Yeah. And I wasn’t invited,” he added, clearly irritated. I ignored the bitterness in his tone-it didn’t
matter to me.
This weekend. So little time, but enough.
A slow smile curled my lips.
“What are you thinking?” Pascal asked.
I lifted my eyes to him, a wicked glint shining through. “Why don’t I play a little game of
hide-and-seek with my dear brother and his mate?”
He laughed. “Thought you said he wasn’t your brother. But whatever you say-I’m in.”
I looked back down at the photo, my smile widening.
When I, Bella, return… I will tear their world apart.
Enjoy your little peace while it lasts. And I wonder if Dylan has realized I’m gone yet. He’ll be next once I’m finished with Maurice. He dared to belittle me-me-over some pathetic girl named Cherry.
I’ll make every single one of them pay.
I quickly scrolled through the tablet, searching for Alpha Osborne, and the moment his name appeared, so did the images.
