Chapter 134

Aina

Clair

Life has been wonderful ever since I found Osborne-no, actually since he found me, whichever

version sounds more magical. He is the love of my life, the man who looked at me when no one else did, the one who saw beauty in places even I had forgotten existed. He embraced/me wholly,

fiercely, as if losing me would shatter the world he stands on.

He taught me to love myself again, to see worth where others only pointed out flaws. He spoke life

into me, reshaping the way I saw myself and the world around me. Every morning when we wake

up, he whispers love into my ears as if it is the first day he ever fell for me. Every night, he holds me close, making love to me slowly before we drift to sleep tangled in each other. He is my better half -my other soul, the one who owns me the same way I claim him.

Everything I have today, I owe to him. The love. The family. The peace. All of it started with him

choosing me.

My hand drifted to my stomach instinctively, feeling the soft, playful kick of the life growing inside me. Laughter echoed from outside-the deep rumble of Osborne mixed with the giggles of our children pulling a smile from my lips.

Yes, you heard right. This is our third pregnancy.

Alina and Adrian chased their father around the yard as Beta Alex watched from a distance, clutching a file that Osborne was supposed to work on. But Osborne always found time for his children, even when important documents piled in Alex’s hands.

“Leave Daddy alone, he has work to do!” I called out, laughing at the sight in front of me.

“Thank you so much, Luna,” Alex sighed dramatically, earning’a burst of laughter from me.

After his divorce from Miranda, it took Alex quite a while before he married again. She wasn’t his mate, but he chose her anyway-and from what I’ve heard, their relationship is peaceful, now he’s married and finally had a child he wanted, something Miranda deprived him of. Funnily enough, he had started cheating on Miranda a week before discovering she had been cheating on him for

years. Life is strange like that.

But everyone deserves a happy ending, I guess.

A warm smile curved my lips.

“What are you thinking about, dear wife?” Osborne’s voice came from in as he approached, our two

children already clinging to his legs like little vines.

“How much I love you,” I teased.

“Eww!” both kids chorused immediately, making Alex laugh from where he stood.

Clar

Osborne smiled widely, his gaze filled with love and admiration. “Come on, kids,” Alex says, snapping his fingers playfully. They scampered to him while giggling, giving us a moment alone

“So,” Osborne murmured, poking my nose gently, “what was that again you were saying?”

“What did I say?” I tilted my head innocently.

“That you love me, obviously.” His grin widened as he leaned in and captured my lips in a soft kiss. He slid an arm around my waist and started walking with me.

“Wait… where are you taking me?” I laughed breathlessly.

He leaned close to my ear. “I think you already know, sugar plum.”

Third person’s pov

But not everyone will have their happy ending, while Maurice and his wife had too. There are some

few of his family who don’t, one was Alpha Hamilton lay alone in a cold, empty room, isolated from the world he once ruled, forgotten as life moved on without him, although the paralysis drug wasn’t offered to him anymore but the years which it did had left him paralyzed from the neck down.

And Bella… who had attempted to kill herself, only to be dragged back from death and forced into healing. Those were their punishments-the consequences of all the pain they inflicted on the

people closest to them.

Dylan

For a long time now, I’ve kept Bella in the main estate rather than the attic. She hates it just as

much, but at least she’s closer. Close enough that when she tries to end her life, because she always does, I’m there to stop her. To make sure she suffers, but never dies.

When I entered her room, she curled into herself immediately, turning her face away as if seeing me would break her further. I crossed the room slowly and crouched in front of her, brushing a hand through her tangled hair.

“Give it up,” I murmured. “You’re not going to kill yourself.”

She looked like the skeleton of her former self. Hollow cheeks, sunken eyes, scars scattered across her arms, her neck, her thighs-marks of every attempt she made to escape my hold. She looked pitiful. A shadow. Broken beyond recognition.

And yet… she wasn’t the only one suffering I was too. Because I chose this life for myself. I chose her-chose to keep her as my mate, chose the misery that came with it.

She hasn’t spoken in months, as though her voice died with her sanity. The mighty Bella… reduced

to this. The great, feared, heartless woman, now trembling even before the maids. Whatever

confidence she once carried had evaporated completely.
