The Alpha's Chubby Obsession. novel Chapter 250

Book 2:Chapter 28-2

Instead of anger, his father tried to calm Julio down.

If Helio had spoken like that, he would have received a look so cold it would haunt him forever.

That was the moment Helio truly learned what hate felt like.

They treated his twin with love and patience, while he had been locked away all his life because of

foolish rules and fear. The injustice of it burned so deeply that Helio turned his face away, unable

to bear the sight any longer.

That was the day Julio learned the truth about his twin.

And just like their parents, he never told a soul.

Exactly three years later, one evening, Danae burst into Helio’s room. Her face was streaked with tears as she collapsed to her knees, her body trembling violently.

Nineteen-year-old Helio had never seen his sister like that. Alarmed, he rushed to her side, his hands gripping her shoulders as his eyes searched her face.

“Our parents…” she began, sobbing. Her voice broke completely. “They were in a terrible accident, Helio. They didn’t make it.”

Her tears flowed harder as the words sank in.

Helio frowned, his expression shifting into something painfully gentle as he pulled her into his arms, holding her tightly, trying to steady her shaking body.

His pain wasn’t for the people who had died.

It was for his sister.

He felt nothing for their parents-no grief, no sorrow. The news landed in him the same way so many others had throughout his life, distant and hollow. How could he mourn people who never wanted him? People who locked him away, who allowed him outside only at night and only under

his sister’s watchful eye.

Memories surfaced unbidden.

The night he had sneaked out alone and been caught by his father. The fury in Alpha Clinton’s eyes.

The cruel words. The punishment that followed.

A mother who rarely visited. A woman who barely acknowledged his existence.

He didn’t grieve their deaths.

What hurt him was watching Danae break apart-seeing the only person who had ever loved him

reduced to tears.

The Alpha and Luna were later laid to rest, and soon after, Julio took his place as Alpha of the

pack. Nothing changed for Helio.

He remained hidden in the same place, still confined, his brother making no move to release him-

even after their parents’ deaths.

Helio continued to live in that room, though some things did change. He no longer went out at night with Danae. Instead, he slipped out on his own, moving like a shadow through the pack lands, always careful to return before dawn and sneak back inside unnoticed.

Julio had him moved to a larger room-more space, more comfort-but never once showed his face. Helio didn’t care. Over time, he had grown accustomed to solitude. He even liked it.

Years passed.

Alpha Julio found a mate, and soon she was heavily pregnant, the pack buzzing with anticipation for the future heir. When the child was finally born, celebrations filled the pack once again.

Then, tragedy struck.
