The pack is in complete disarray, and I can’t understand why. Everything has been unraveling lately, even my carefully laid plans. The man I hired-the one who was supposed to help me get rid of that fat fool-backed out of the job. Should I send one of my most trusted men instead?

But no… that won’t work. How could they possibly infiltrate Silver Crest Pack with their security so

tight? I paced across my room, irritation clawing at me, until an idea suddenly struck.

That maid. The one still in Silver Crest Pack. Yes.

“Is anyone there?” I called sharply. Within seconds, a maid rushed in. “Mistress, you called,” she said

breathlessly.

I smiled, moving closer to her. “Do you remember that fat maid we left behind?” I asked quickly. Her eyes went wide, and she nodded.

“Yes, ma’am, I do. But when we left, she was still unconscious…” she trailed off, her voice laced

with pity.

“I didn’t ask you about her stupid condition,” I snapped, my eyes narrowing. “I asked if you

remembered her.”

She bowed her head, trembling. “Forgive me, my mistress.”

“Good.” I straightened, my voice turning cold. “I want you to contact one of her family members.

Have them come here. I’m sending them on an errand. Understood?”

She nodded quickly. “As you wish, my mistress,” she said, before hurrying out.

I exhaled slowly. I have to play my cards right. Aina-whatever her name is-must be eliminated.

Osborne needs to feel the pain of losing someone he treasures. He cannot live in happiness while I

am drowning in misery.

And you might wonder why I am so obsessed with him. The answer is simple. I am Bella. I always

get what I want. Even if it means taking the most extreme measures.

I almost lost it when Osborne asked me that question. I thought I had been careful enough not to get caught, but clearly, I wasn’t.

The look Osborne gave me still shakes me to my core.

I’ll have to live with the choices I made. The bond with Miranda was never strong because she

wasn’t my true mate. We were never really compatible, but I fooled myself into thinking she was

perfect for me. Now I don’t even know anymore.

Still, I had to tell Osborne what I found out. He’d be shocked to learn Bella sent someone to kill his

wife. At first, I didn’t believe it when a close contact told me Alpha Hamilton had planned

Osborne’s death, but it seems to be true. When will they learn?

I knocked on Osborne’s office door. His voice came out sharp and commanding, making me uneasy. I could barely meet his eyes anymore, and I realized our friendship had changed. He was no longer just Osborne, the future of our pack-he was already carrying himself like an Alpha.

When I entered, I bowed my head. “I have news,” I told him. He nodded for me to continue.

“The hitman Bella sent to kill your mate called me.”

The moment I said it, his body stiffened. “A hitman?” he asked, and I nodded. What came from his lips next was a laugh, harsh and bitter.

“The Maxwells really are fools,” he said coldly. He stood, towering over me. “And what did he tell

you?”

“That if we were willing to pay more, he would back out. So I did.”

Osborne nodded, his face hard. “Then I want you to give him a message. Tell that hitman that-(

inaudible voice)”.

My eyes widened when I heard his words, but all I could manage was, “I understand.” I lowered my

head, knowing without doubt that both father and daughter had pushed too far.

Three days have passed since Alpha Hamilton tried to have me killed, and two days since I learned
