I let go of his face and I step back. “Ok then start talking, I need to know everything and you better not leave anything out.” I tell him and he nods his head.

“I was at my post down at the abandoned park, just doing what I do, when this sleek Mercedes parks in front of me, at first I think it must be one of these richy rich dudes. But then it’s this much older gentleman, he tells me that he want to take me out to lunch and that he has a business opportunity for me, now I recognise cops and guards and I know what they look like even when they try to blend in by putting on disguises.

I asked him if he was planning to kill these test subjects and his answer was not all of them. He then told me how much I would be making for each person that I brought in and all the reservations that I had flew right out the window and he also told me that the people that I brought would be well compensated.

“He would come over to my place and I would introduce them and he would take over from there, what happens after he talks to them I have no idea.” He says with a shallow breath.

“You have no idea because you don’t care, you have your money and that’s all you care about. How did you contact him?” I ask him.

“His number is on my phone, I would call him once I had someone and we would set up a date.” He explains to me.

“How often do you deliver to him?” I ask him.

“Like twice a week.” He says.

“When was your last delivery?” I ask him.

“On Monday.” He answers.

Today is Tuesday, this is good, this works in

I turn around and he shouts.

I make sure to wash my hands thoroughly before going into the house, I don’t need the kids seeing blood on me and asking me questions.

So I make my way down the stairs, I check the living room and the kitchen and she isn’t there either but then I notice a post it note on the fridge door. I’m at the lab, the results are in and I still have more work to do, I made some sandwiches for tea kids for when they wake up, it’s in the fridge.’

I don’t know why but the note makes me smile, it’s seems almost domestic and I like it.

Steven walks into the kitchen and I quickly fold the note and put it in my pocket, I don’t need his questions right now, plus Natalie isn’t here and I didn’t ask her if I could tell him the truth without her being present.

“There you are, I’ve been looking all over for you.” He tells me and I spot his tablet in his hand.

“I was busy having a conversation with a prisoner. Don’t tell me that you have something already?” I ask him.

“It pains me how suprised you look. But yes I did find something and it isn’t good.” He says.

“What did you find?” I ask him.

“Moon Shadow Pack is dying, I mean that financially and literally. There’s something poisoning their land and they can’t figure out what’s causing it.”
