The Alpha's Four Hidden Heirs (Natalie and Samuel) novel Chapter 130

**Chapter 130**

**NATALIE.**

I leaned forward, curiosity piqued, “Well, that sounds ominous. How bad is it really?”

He took my hand, guiding me to the couch, and as we settled in, I couldn’t help but notice the weight he seemed to carry on his shoulders. The lines of fatigue etched on his face spoke volumes, revealing a man who bore far too much alone.

“Apparently, this whole mess revolves around the concept of immortality,” he began, his voice steady yet tinged with urgency. “But it’s not what it seems. The ritual doesn’t grant eternal life; it opens a doorway to the other side. Whoever is orchestrating this is trying to unleash a witch who’s been trapped there for ages.” His revelation left me utterly bewildered.

“I don’t understand,” I admitted, my brow furrowing in confusion.

“Essentially, she’s the first witch, the most potent of them all. She was responsible for the werewolf curse. Centuries ago, she chose the dark path, and a coven of witches managed to imprison her on the other side. Some believe she discovered the spell for immortality but couldn’t execute it, which is why they’re desperate to free her,” he elaborated, his eyes reflecting the gravity of the situation.

“Well, that’s really…” I trailed off, grappling for the right word to encapsulate the chaos we were facing.

“Fucked,” Samuel interjected bluntly, and I couldn’t help but laugh, the absurdity of it all momentarily lifting the heaviness in the air.

“Yeah, ‘fucked’ really does sum it up. So, what’s our next move? What do we do now?” I asked, my heart racing with a mix of fear and determination.

A faint smile crept onto his lips as he took my hand, grounding me. “Well, I need to see Kataleya first thing in the morning. Mark will handle the sting operation in the meantime.”

“Who the hell is Kataleya?” I inquired, genuinely puzzled.

“She’s a witch, one of the oldest and most powerful I know. Kataleya leads the witches’ coven here in Dellmoor. We can’t tackle this on our own; she needs to be in the loop because she’ll have more insight into the ritual,” he explained, his expression serious.

“Okay, that makes sense. So when do you plan to go?” I pressed, trying to wrap my head around all the new information.

“I was thinking first light tomorrow. I just hope she agrees to see me. Witches can be quite stubborn, still holding onto grudges from centuries past,” he sighed, the weight of history evident in his tone.

“Do you want me to come with you?” I offered, but his reaction was one of surprise.

“No, no, you don’t have to. You have your own things to deal with,” he replied, but I could sense the reluctance in his voice.

“Samuel, I want to go with you. If I didn’t want to, I wouldn’t have offered. As for today, we have a plan in place for Yara, and I think it suits her,” I reassured him, noticing the flicker of pride in his eyes.

“Alright then, we’ll leave together tomorrow. But enough about me—what’s the plan with Yara?” he asked, genuinely intrigued.

“Well, let’s not keep them waiting any longer,” he said, and with that, he scooped Sophia into his arms, her laughter ringing out like music. He took my hand, and together, we made our way out of the office and back to the kitchen.

As we entered, I caught sight of Samuel’s astonished expression at the spread of junk food laid out before us, and I couldn’t help but laugh.

“I take it this is your doing?” he asked, raising an eyebrow.

“Yeah, but it’s just chicken and pizza,” I replied with a playful blink, and he sighed dramatically.

“Fine, but that’s it for the week,” he declared, eliciting groans from the kids, though they didn’t dare complain further.

We settled at the table, and Sophia clung to her dad’s lap, the sight so heartwarming that I wished I had my phone to capture the moment.

Dinner unfolded with laughter and chatter as the kids animatedly recounted their day and shared their hopes for tomorrow. My heart swelled with joy, a warmth spreading through me that felt almost overwhelming.

This was everything I had ever wanted. The kids had taken the news remarkably well, and the transition felt seamless. My four children were together, and the universe had blessed me with a mate in Samuel. I was profoundly grateful for that.

I watched as he devoted his full attention to each child, even allowing Sophia to braid his hair. In that moment, my heart and mind aligned in a beautiful realization: I was undeniably falling in love with Alpha Samuel Bowers.
