It was a long night.

I did not sleep well at all, I kept on tursing and turning and anytime that I did finally try and go back to sleep, I kept going back to the dream that I had, trying to see if I could see the mans face but of course I couldn’t. I mean what else did I expect?

I got up and went to the bathroom to wash up and I just realised that the only thing that I had to wear, were the clothes I came in with and I really didn’t feel like it but I didn’t really have a choice in the matter.

I got out of the bathroom and wrapped the towel around me, I was just about to head into the closet when I heard a soft knock on the door.

Who could that be?

I walked to the door, but I didn’t open it. “Who is it?” I ask but I don’t get any reply and so I listen with my hearing but I don’t hear any heartbeat on the other side of the door so I open it.

I look down both hallways but I don’t find anyone retreating, I’m just about to close the door when I look down and see two huge shopping bags on the floor.

Who

put them there? Was it Gavin?

I grab the bags and walk back into my room, closing the door behind me.

I go through the first shooping bag and from, the bigger one, the name on it says it’s from SEERS, a huge fashion line and very expensive and something immediately tells me that Gavin didn’t leave these outside, it must have been Samuel.

open it to find a pair of black pants and a chiffon top and it even feels expensive, but what could be in the other shopping bag, I mean it’s smaller and there’s no name on it, just a logo that I don’t recognise.

I opened it up and I gasped when I saw lingerie, the lace trims on the white lingerie made it look pure and sexy.

Judging by the taste in clothes, I believed that Gavin, who was almost sixty, was not the one who picked the clothes.

But then it also couldn’t be Samuel, I mean he kept accusing me of trying to seduce him, so

there was no way he was going to be getting me lingerie.

Not wanting to wear my dirty clothes from yesterday, I had no other choice. I put on the set of clothes and to my surprise, the cutting and size of the clothes suited me well, especially for the lingerie, which fitted my cup size perfectly.

How can it be that accurate? There must have a woman on staff, only a woman could’ve picked something this accurate.

After going downstairs, I could hear voices coming from the dining room, so that’s where i went. I walked in there and the first thing that caught my eye was the table, or rather the spread of food on the table. The housekeepers had prepared a sumptuous breakfast that included bagels, doughnuts, hot chocolate, paninis, muffins, and coffee.

Then I saw the kids and my mood brightened up the moment I saw them. How do I already care so much about them, there’s this tug in my chest anytime they are close to me and if I didn’t know that they were Samuel’s kids, I would’ve said that they were my lost children.

I greeted them merrily, “Good morning, Sophia and Franklin.”

Sophia smiled and nodded with all her might and of course her cute dimples were on full display.

“You slept for so long Ms. Natalie! Sophia and I have waited for you for fifteen minutes!” Although Franklin sounded displeased on the surface, I could tell it was all an act because he had laid out cutleries ready for me.

“My bad. I’ve kept Mr. Franklin and Ms. Sophia waiting, I apologise.” I tell him and he gives me a little smile. He’s just like his dad, but because he’s still child it’s cute.

I sat down and I picked up a bagel and added some cream cheese to it.

Just when I was about to take a bite of it, I exchanged gazes with Samuel, who was taking a sip of coffee, unintentionally.

Startled by his gloomy gaze, I almost dropped the bagel on the table.

My eyes narrowed as I wondered if I had offended him, but there was no anger in his eyes, but he kept looking at me, it was unnerving.

“Do you want a bagel too, Alpha Bowers?” I ask him, but I don’t wait for his reply, I take the bagel that I was about to eat and put it on his plate. “There you go, since you want my bagel so much that you haven’t been able to take your eyes off it, I’m giving it to you.”

I mean if he wanted a bagel, all he had to do was ask, I had no problem sharing, there was

But then Billy who was standing on the other side of the room let out a gasp and so did the kids as they both had uneasy looks on their faces as they glanced at their father who kept staring at the bagel like it was a ticking bomb.

Meanwhile, Billy gave me a stern look as he made his way over to the table. “Alpha, I’ll take the plate away at once.” He said and there was panic in his voice.

I was astounded by Billy’s reaction.

Is this man’s germaphobe that severe? I didn’t touch the bagel at all! What’s more, he’s the one who stared at my bagel!

“Did I ask you to take it away?” Samuel asked Billy.

To everyone’s surprise, he poked the bagel with a fork and had a bite of it. “I want to eat this bagel.”

The kids froze immediately after he spoke.

“But dad, I thought you were a germaphobe, I mean you don’t even eat what me and Sophia have touched.” Franklin said, but he didn’t sound sad by the fact, I think he was just more

curious.

“Eat your breakfast Franklin, you and Sophia have school.” Samuel said with finality in his words so Franklin didn’t say anything more.

He can’t eat what other people have touched, so why did he eat my bagel?

After finishing our breakfast, I said goodbye to the kids, Franklin and Sophia had to go to their training center and it must be a goos one because they actually looked excited to go there, while I had to go home to my boys.

After bidding farewell to them, the kids were sent to school by the chauffeur of the Bowers.

Then, a Rolls–Royce Phantom stopped in front of me. Without thinking twice, I headed to the backseat of the car and noticed that I could not open the door at all.

Feeling annoyed, I knocked on the window of the driver’s seat to question the chauffeur. Is he fooling with me?

However, as the window wound down, I froze at the sight of the man’s stunning face.

The chauffeur is… Samuel?
