I could feel the anger coming off him as he glared at Ross who was completely oblivious as to what was happening.

This man, he made me feel things and I was scared of all these feelings and the memories that he awoke in me, if I wasn’t careful, I would get consumed by him.

I looked back at him and thought that this might be a good opportunity to get rid of him, I hope it works.

I looked back at Samuel and there was hurt and pain in his eyes and what I was about to do was just going to make it even worse, my heart hurt but I had to do this.

But why should I feel guilty? Why is he looking like I’ve done something wrong? Why is he making me feel like I’m caught in the act? I mean he has no idea that I’m the one behind this mask or does he?

It’s two things, either this man is a serious player or he knows it’s me, somehow the mask and me masking my real scent aren’t working on him.

But it doesn’t matter, I need to do something to dissuade him.

With that thought, I put a smile on my face and I gripped Ross’s arm.

I felt his body immediately stiffen after I held his arm. He glanced at me as his eyelids twitched, his face showed how confused he was.

Maybe this was a bad idea. Would Ross even go along with it?

He looked like he was going to ask me a question so I quickly glared at him and hoped that he could read my expression. Ross might be a wolf but we aren’t from the same pack and we aren’t mates so I can’t mind link with him.

But, he is a smart man and somehow he understood so he kept quiet, and he just stood and stared at me, waiting to follow my lead.

I felt extremely uncomfortable as Samuel continued to stare at me. I just wanted to leave that place immediately.

The man messed with my mind and I needed a few days away from him, but somehow he always seems to show up wherever I am.

“Dear, I feel so dizzy…” I acted frustrated as I added, “When is the driver going to arrive? We’ve waited for so long.”

Ross had a shocked and confused look in his face. “Dear?” He asked me and I wish that I didn’t start this at all, but Samuel is clearly listening in because I can feel the anger and jealousy radiating off his body so I can’t stop.

“He’s coming soon. Hold on a little longer.” He says with a smile on his face and I let out a sigh of relief.

Right at that moment, Ross turned around and his eyes finally came in contact with Samuel’s terrifying stare.

He looked terrified and confused because he had no idea why a stranger was giving him the death glare.

Then Ross cleared his throat and stretched out his hand to Samuel. “Hi, my name is Ross and I’m the Cheif R&D officer at Dream Pharmaceuticals.” Ross says to Samuel, trying to be polite.

But instead Samuel just snarls at him and glares at his hand like it’s a bomb or something volatile.

He looked away from Ross and then he looked at me and finally asked, “Is he your boyfriend?”

“Yes!” I narrowed my eyes as I replied, “He’s really thoughtful, right? Affectionate pretty boys are all the rage right now and he’s also really strong, don’t let his face deceive you.” I say to him.

Yandel looked completely confused at our encounter but I needed him to play along, if he had any questions, I would answer them once we were out of here.

I gripped his hand tighter and he finally smiled. “Yeah, that’s me, your pretty boy.” He says and I expect Samuel to blow a gasket or at least back down.

But instead he smirks, almost like he’s holding back a laugh and he says; “Seems average.”

I was stunned before I refuted, “I’m happy with him. You know some of us don’t need the high and mighty type.” I add.

Right at that moment, Ross’s Maybach came to a halt in front of the restaurant. That marked the end of the silent war between the three of them.

We both just stared at each other and then he smiled. “I hope you feel better soon Miss. Edmund.” He says and then he closes the door.

Fuck, he knows, he knows that it’s me.

The shocked expression on her face really did help my mood a lot, I mean it was so worth it.

How dare she dangle another man in front of me?

I know I said I would wait for her to come to me and I also know that she was just putting up an act with that man but it still pissed me off and she’s lucky that I didn’t relieve the gentleman of his head.

Then, Steven finally walked to me and asked, “Sam, what’s going on with this woman? She has a boyfriend, but why… Is she cheating on you? If she dares to do that, I’ll not let her off the hook.”

“Don’t you dare hurt her.” I turned around and gave my brother a cold glare. I get that he was extremely protective of our family but Natalie was off limits.

Steven choked when he saw my reaction.

“Sam, she did this to you-”

“You think that’s her boyfriend?” I smirked as I questioned Steven.

“Is he not?”

“She’s putting on an act so I would give up on her.” I narrowed my eyes.

Boyfriend? If that man was really her boyfriend, I would not have let him take her away right in front of me.
