NATALIE.
The drive down to Blood Moon Pack has been filled with tension and I’m seriously considering going back on my word and turning the car around so we can go and get his video game set but I don’t, I’m the parent in this situation and Clayton needs this.
He’s still a kid and he’s too occupied with those games, staying at the pack will be good for the boys, I want them to explore and learn what it means to be a wolf and he won’t be able to do any of that if he has his head stuck in his games.
“So when we get there, I want you to remember that we are visitors, which means you have to be on your best behaviour.” I tell them.
Xavier answers me while Claytoj just mumbles under his breath but I will take that as an answer.
We pass the border leading into Blood Moon Pack territory and I can see the shock and excitement on the boys faces and even Clayton looks out the window.
Clearly not all packs have this much land and nature and wildlife but still it’s good that this is their first experience. The boys faces are glued to the windows until I park my car in front of the Alpha’s Residence.
“Whoa mom, is this where we are going to be staying?” Xavier asks me.
“Yes, for now. This is the Alpha’s Residence, so Alpha Bowers stays here with his kids, as does his Beta Mark and also Steven that’s the Alpha’s brother.” I explain to them but they’re all too busy staring at the house.
“Ok, let’s get down.” I tell them and then I open the door and come down from the car and so do they.
The moment we step down from the car, the door to the house flies open and Franklin and Sophia come running out to me and they hug me so hard that I stagger on my feet.
“You’re here, you’re really here.” Franklin says in excitement and I just smile and then I look over at the boys and I see the confused look on their faces. Yeah I didn’t explain to them my relationship with the Bowers kids and I didn’t even think that there was a chance they wouldn’t like each other.
I slowly extricate myself from the hug and then I squat so I’m on their level.
“Sophia, Franklin, I’d like to introduce you to my boys, Xavier and Clayton.” I tell them, Sophia clings to my legs while Franklin goes over to introduce himself.
“My name is Franklin Bowers, heir of Blood Moon Pack and it’s really nice to finally meet you.” He says as he stretches out his hand and then I wait with bated breath to see what they boys will do.
Then finally Xavier shakes his hand as does Clayton and I let out the breath that I’ve been holding.
Franklin takes Sophia’s hand and introduces her too and she waves at them and the next thing I know, Franklin is inviting them in to see their play room and they all run into the house and just the sight of all four of them running in, it makes me happy but also sad because it makes me think of my kids with Yara. They were always supposed to he four not two.

“Well, it seems like we don’t have to worry about the kids getting along.” I turn around in shock to find Samuel behind me.
“Yeah, it would seem so.” I say to him.
“You can leave your bags in the car, Gavin will take care of it. We have business to get to.” He tells me.
“Yes of course.” I say and I notice the grim look on his face, it’s completely different from the man that I saw this morning. Did something happen?
But I don’t say anything. I just follow him until we get to his office and he closes the door behind us.
“Is everything alright Alpha Bowers?” I ask him.
“No, everything is not alright. We found a body today. Same as the other bodies found, but this one looked ti just be dead for about three days, I’m not sure. I’d like you to examine the body, it’s down in the morgue. We have everything set up for you, but if you need anything else, just let me know and we’ll get it for you.” He tells me.
“Ok.” I’m about to turn around and leave but for some reason I can’t.
“Did you know the person?” I ask him and he looks up at me.
“No, but it wasn’t a human this time, it was a wolf from Moon Shadow Pack.” He says and immediately I
get tense.
“Moon Shadow Pack, so is their Alpha aware of what’s going on?” I ask him.
“No, he doesn’t but he does have questions and I don’t know whether or not to give him answers.” He says as he lets out a sigh.
“What do you mean by that?” I ask him.
“As of right now, only you, me and my brother knows what’s actually going on. So do I tell people and alert them to what’s happening and in turn cause massive hysteria and alert the killer that we are onto him or do I keep this close to the vest and hope thay we catch whoever is doing this before he completes this bloody ritual that can wipe out werewolves as a whole?” He asks me.
Wow, that’s a lot. Heavy is the head that wears the crown.
“Well, you are the Alpha and your word is law, but as for me, I will tell you that this doesn’t just affect you and your pack, this affects werewolves as a whole, so you need to tell your fellow Alpha’s what’s going on. So they can protect their people.” I tell him.
He gets a smile on his face
as
he just stares at me. “Thank you for the sound advice Natalie, Gavin will show you to the morgue. I have a meeting to arrange.” He tells me.
“You’re welcome Alpha Bowers.” I tell him and then with one glance at him, I turn around and leave the
office.
