Chapter 224

She heaved a sigh of relief when Axel loosened his grip and let her go.

Lori walked to Gabriel’s side.

He must have snuck up to them. That would explain how they didn’t notice him.

There was an unreadable expression on Gabriel’s face, while Axel seemed to be smiling.

“Relax. We were just having a chat.”

‘Really? Didn’t sound like one.”

Axel raised his eyebrow.

Oh you were listening in? Interesting.”

“I was just curious about your beautiful mate here. I’ve never met an actual nephilim before…”

‘She told you to let her go and you didn’t. I’d advise you to steer clear of her next time.”

Axel chuckled.

“Or what?! Are you threatening me?”

‘Interpret it however you like. But if you lay one finger on her again I’ll have your entire hand dislocated from your body.”

Lori placed a hand on Gabriel’s shoulder, silently pleading for him to let it go, people were starting to look.

Axel looked around and started laughing loudly.

‘Did you all just fucking hear that?! He just threatened to kill me!”

The people around them started murmuring and more people started to look their way.

‘Gabriel.”

Lori called softly but Gabriel didn’t budge. He stood rigidly while glaring at Axel.

If looks could kill Axel would probably be six feet under.

‘Did I make myself clear?”

Gabriel asked.

Axel continued to make a scene. Laughing foudly and repeating to anyone who cared that Gabriel threatened him.

Lori was sick of him.

‘Gabriel.”

She said more firmly as she finally squeezed his arm, tight enough to hurt.

He looked away briefly and stared at her.

Then he stared right at her.

“What?”

Lori asked as she turned towards the direction he was staring at.

He was staring at the entrance. Right where Sabine Reinhardt was.

Walking right into the Summit.

Lori’s hands dropped to her side.

What was she doing here?!

She asked herself.

Before she could turn to look at Gabriel she noticed he was already away from her. He was walking straight to Sabine.

Lori rushed after him, but it was too late.

Gabriel grabbed Sabine by the neck and pinned her to the nearest wall. Her body slammed the wall so hard that Lori could have sworn she heard a crack.

Even Sabine flinched hard.

Everyone exclaimed.

“Where the fuck is he?!”

He bellowed at her but Sabine didn’t even budge. She was just smiling.

“Release her Alpha Caine.”

One alpha said nearby,

He walked towards the midst of the commotion. Lori didn’t know who he was but many other alphas were walking towards the commotion.

“Gabriel. Gabriel.”

Lori pleaded as she tugged at his arm.

“Relax everyone. I’m just asking Alpha Sabine a few questions.”

He said out loud and all Sabine did was raise her eyebrow.

Axel had walked into the commotion.
