Eric and lan stood side by side at the very back of the crowd.

They exchanged a knowing glance, neither of them saying a word.

Once Astrid’s funeral was over, all things about Andrea had truly come to an end.

At noon, Ian returned to Hamilton Manor.

Miranda let out a sigh, “I never imagined Andrea and her son could be so cruel. They have caused so much harm, and even Mrs. Jordan’s death.”

Shane’s expression soured at the mention of Andrea. “Andrea and her son are like rats crawling out of the sewer. Serves them right.”

Ian sat quietly on the couch, staying out of the conversation.

Miranda turned to Ian, saying, “Ian, I heard Mrs. Goodwin ran into Andrea’s elder brother and sister-in-law in

Newcrest.

“For some reason, Melody beat Mrs. Goodwin so badly that she lost hearing in one ear right there on the street. Is that really true?”

Ian nodded, his face blank. “That’s not all. She got a nasty scar across her face, too.”

Anybody who got caught up in that mess wasn’t innocent.

Everyone got what they deserved.

A few days later, Chloe flew back from abroad.

On her very first day at the hospital, she learned that Astrid had died all of a sudden.

Chloe couldn’t process it at all.

She remembered Eric saying his grandma had a kidney transplant and was recovering well. He said she’d be around for another decade or two, easy.

How could she be gone, just like that?’ Chloe thought, her mind spinning.

When she saw Eric and two assistants step out of the elevator. Chloe hesitated for a moment before walking

over. “Eric,” she greeted.

Eric waved his assistants away.

Chloe asked, “Why did Mrs. Jordan pass away so suddenly?”

Eric said, “It’s not something good, I’d rather not talk about it.”

Chloe could tell Eric was unwilling to say more, so she didn’t press him.

Seeing Eric’s assistants still waiting nearby, Chloe said, “Alright. I’ll get back to work then.”

Eric nodded in response, and Chloe walked away.

At noon, Mia dropped by to see Chloe.

Chloe offered to treat her to lunch.

All morning, Chloe had been hearing all kinds of rumors from her colleagues at the hospital. The word was that a bunch of people had died in that mess.

Chloe and Mia went to a restaurant and started chatting over lunch.

Mia couldn’t hold it in any longer. “Chloe, it’s such a shame you missed out. Do you know about the huge scandal that broke out in Kingsford while we were away?”

If Patrick hadn’t dragged her off to Harbor City for a few days, there would have been no way that she would’ve missed out on all that wild news.

Chloe had been dying of curiosity all morning. “Come on. Spill! I’ve been hearing gossip nonstop since I got to my office.”

Mia leaned in and whispered, “I’m so thrilled. Finally, they’re all dead.”

Chloe blinked, surprised. “Huh?”

Seeing Chloe’s reaction, Mia let out a couple of mischievous laughs.

She leaned in and said, “While we were away, Henry got poisoned by Violet, Laura was killed by Andrea, Mrs. Jordan was killed by Andrea and Violet teaming up.

“Then Andrea killed Violet, too. And Melody beat up Mrs. Goodwin so bad that Mrs. Goodwin was deaf in one ear and got a nasty scar.”

“Mia, slow down.” Chloe was completely stunned. “Are they dropping like flies? Seriously, one after another?”

Mia put a hand to her chest. “I swear, it’s all true.”

Then, she kept going. “Renee made a huge scene at her dad and Violet’s wedding and even hired a top influencer to stream the whole drama live.

“Then Mrs. Goodwin egged Laura’s whole family on to crash the party, and they dragged Andrea’s son there too. In the end, Andrea and Violet’s reputations were completely destroyed, and Violet lost her baby”

Chloe was so shocked she couldn’t say a word.

The more Mia talked, the more worked up she got.

She added, “The Jordan family made Mrs. Jordan kick Andrea out to protect their family’s reputation, so Andrea ended up getting tossed out by the Jordan family.”

“And then what happened?” Chloe asked.

Mia answered, “So Andrea was totally cornered and went begging the Sherman family to help clear her name. but they demanded a ton of money.

“They started arguing. like crazy, and Andrea just snapped. She killed Laura right then and there.”

Chloe let out a long sigh, feeling a mix of emotions swirling inside her.

In her previous life, Andrea had killed Ian’s younger brother.

Chloe had thought Andrea would turn things around this time.

But in the end, she still became a murderer all over again.

Mia took a sip of her juice. “I’m not done yet.”

She kept going. “After Andrea killed Laura, Violet helped her lie low. Henry beat Violet within an inch of her life, trying to force her to turn Andrea in.

“Violet, totally pissed off, grabbed all of Henry’s gold and cash and ran for it. Before she left, she dumped a ton of rat poison into the food.

“The next morning, Henry and Bridget both got poisoned at breakfast. Henry died from it.”

Chloe’s grip tightened on her fork and knife, her nerves on edge. “So what happened to Mrs. Jordan? How did she die?”

Mia grinned, “Chill, Chloe. Let me tell you one thing at a time.”

She paused and took another sip of her juice.

Then, she continued, “After Andrea and Violet met up, they went to a church to ask Mrs. Jordan to save them. But Mrs. Jordan tried to convince Andrea to turn herself in.

“Hence, Andrea and Violet took her hostage and emptied her bank account using her phone, right on the spot.”

Mia added, “Mrs. Jordan tried to stop them from leaving, so the two teamed up and killed her. The whole room was a bloodbath. Violet nearly cracked her head open in the chaos.”
